Meet Chef Jibriel Saunders of Bombay’s Creations in Glendale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Jibriel Saunders.

Raised in Oakland, California; Jibriel Saunders dealt with an enormous amount of loss at a young age. He lost his mother, sister and both brothers; as one can imagine, this is traumatizing for anyone. Jibriel felt ruined as his entire world was falling apart in front of his eyes. He started to feel abandoned, as his other family members were leaving him, adding to the already somber feeling of loneliness after many losses. He had no family structure to fall upon for the support a young man needs in this life. In the midst of his world falling apart, Jibriel decided that he needed to find a passion.

Jibriel has always had a very powerful vision to be the best that he can; he was alive in this vast universe. He decided that no matter what obstacles you may be facing, you can turn that dream into reality!!  When introduced to the culinary world, Jibriel found that very desire he was seeking. Jibriel decided to continue to hold on to his aspirations. In doing so, he found his passion for the industry and was able to reconstruct the way he thought, allowing him to see the endless opportunities of life. In this thought process, Chef Saunders created Bombay’s Creations LLC!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Saunders said the killings prompted his family to relocate to Arizona. He said after moving to Arizona, the family received further catastrophic news.

“Within a year after we moved to Arizona, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Saunders said. “During my mother’s battle with breast cancer, my sister was diagnosed with leukemia.”

Saunders said by the time he was 10, his brothers were dead. He said he knew he would soon be without his mother and sister. He said it felt like his whole world was falling apart…

Please tell us about Bombay’s Creations.
Bombay’s Creations LLC has the great vision that we would like to share with the world.  Bombay’s Creations is not like any other catering business; in fact, we believe we can enlighten this generation and generations to come, with the same knowledge that has been around for centuries. The human mind is much more powerful than you think. Our minds, filled with great tools used to optimize our future, can send and receive information from one source to another. Our minds are the most complex machine on the face of the planet, and it is the source of all thoughts and behaviors. We would like to share this same knowledge with all our nations. We want this community, and future community leaders, to know that they can make a change in one’s life if they took time out of their days to show someone they care. I want the youth to feel empowered and great overall.

Saunders said his mother’s inspiration continues to guide him. He said her constant examples of unconditional love bring to mind the importance of helping others.

“It’s not about being financially rich. Because, if you ask me, I am rich. I have a rich mind and a rich soul, No Cap.” Saunders said.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Chef Saunders contributes his time to aid two non-profit organizations. Zuri Circle and You Matter Too. Zuri Circle (2014) is a foundation that strives to be more than just a non-profit; they are future doctors, teachers, engineers, scientists and much more. As you can see, Mr. Saunders aspires to bring assistance to all. You Matter Too (2017) is a non-profit organization whose goal is to make long life impacts in the lives of each and every child they come in contact with. It encourages children, which have been bullied they Matter Too. This organization helps prevent thoughts of suicide.

Mr. Saunders has done High School speeches’ and Mentoring programs. These series’ have taught the value of loving oneself. In addition to the aforementioned, Chef Saunders has offered assistance in a gardening reconstruction program. This program allowed students to understand the way we see food and aid in producing the basic fundamental foods in life. Chef Bombay has aided in Turkey Drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas Giveaways. He is also partnered with Ali Tomineek 31 SQUAD with DJ Red, where they give back to many schools throughout the valley.

Chef Jibriel’s dreamed of changing the lives of many by serving them magically, mouthwatering meals as well as smiles throughout the community is now a reality. Through his newly found passion, Chef Jibriel has decided to use what he has established in his life through the culinary arts.
