Hi Danilo, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself. 
I like to say thank you to Voyage Phoenix for once again to interviewing me. Let me get started. Hello, my name is Chef Danilo Suarez, Owner of Forever Gourmet aka The Medicated Chef. I have been cooking professionally for over 25 years. I created Medicated Chef to combine my love for food and cannabis. What better way to showcase my talents and entertain with my personality. Food is a way to connect with so many people, but when you have some laughs and good vibes, that is where Medicated Chef was born. I realized Medicated Chef is not one person but a people. There are Medicated Chefs everywhere and that’s my goal is to make Medicated Chefs available to as many places as possible. I strongly believe food comes first when I make my edibles. Respect and knowing how to use ingredients will always give you the best results. Passion, flavor, and perfection through simplicity, patience, knowledge, and experience are what you need to be consistent with your execution. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For things that are made to last, we all go through rough patches. I say you can be lucky or good at what you do. I had to be good because I ain’t lucky. It took a while to get recognition of any sort. I had to replan and relaunch many times because of restrictions due to covid early on. 2019 I started strong then got smacked down to nothing in 2020. It took 4 years to finally get back to where I was. Funding your dream doesn’t come cheap. No matter, you have to be persistent and motivated. Build a team, don’t be afraid to ask for help, and be humble. 

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a chef by trade earned my stripes over 25 years in the restaurant business. I have been cooking privately for 5 years with my company, Forever Gourmet. I specialize in many cuisines like Italian, French, American, Spanish, Cuisine Fusion, Cheesecakes, and of course cannabis infusion. Cheesecake are my most popular staple. I love cooking many different foods and styles. I’m proud of the way I make ingredients and food come alive to tell their story. The way I use the potential of ingredients I use for my cooking. 

In my opinion, what sets me apart is my love for food and the potential to create a representation of creativity, love, and consistency to deliver amazing dishes and create memories we enjoy. I put myself in a class of Chefs that care about feeding others before themselves. Why because we love and aim to please others? 

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I want to explain the difference between Forever Gourmet and Medicated Chef. Basically, Forever Gourmet will handle any food events or private chef hirings that does not involve marijuana at all. I can take care of any food functions, charity events, private lessons, catering, and etc… 

Now, Medicated Chef is like Forever Gourmet but involves the world of cannabis. Services offered are cannabis dinners, custom edibles, infusion lessons, canna catering, and special events. The food comes first when making my edibles. I use cannabis distillate and RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) in my infusions. I love fusing your all-time family recipes or favorite foods. I can truly say my edibles are tasteless but tasteful. Which means you can’t taste the cannabis in the my edibles.
