Meet Chavonne Brown of AC Stock

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chavonne Brown.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
This journey all started with my passion and interest in photography. Stock photography and light graphic design were just hobbies of mine until I started being asked for certain pieces of my work to be blown up into portraits or designed to fit onto a phone case or a t-shirt. When I started to receive more referrals and requests that’s when I knew AC Stock would have more avenues to display my craft or vision of photography and graphic design.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a new venture is never easy, but if you continue to persevere and work towards your goals anything is possible. This has only been my second year transitioning AC Stock from a stock photography platform into a Photography & Retail platform, but I am enjoying the journey nonetheless.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about AC Stock – what should we know?
As I mentioned before, AC Stock started as a platform for me to display my photography and graphic design. Now it grew and transitioned into the field of retail. AC Stock carries anything from home decor such as posters, pillows, mugs, throw blanket, and towels to accessories like phone cases and jewelry, even fanny packs and flip flops. Also carrying apparel such as joggers, leggings, hoodies, sweatshirts, even bathing suits, and dresses. All custom designed, the majority of designs are from either a picture that I’ve taken myself or something designed on photoshop.

AC Stock is best known for its great quality in material and array of merchandise, as well as for the bright and vibrant colors that are apart of the collections. What I am most proud of my company and what I want it to be best known for is the philanthropy behind it all.

I think that is what sets most businesses apart from others. I’m all about giving back to local communities, I’ve always had a “Supportive Gear” Collection, where proceeds from that collection went to local charities; customers are also able to leave comments before purchasing to name a charity that they’d wish their purchase went towards as well.

I have just now recently added a “Mamba Legacy” Collection due to the recent tragedy in January that took nine lives in California. All proceeds from that collection are being donated to both MAMBAONTHREE.ORG and the now renamed MAMBAMAMBACITASPORTS.ORG. Already we’ve donated back to that charity from purchases and this is the legacy and practice that I wish to continue to remain involved in and this is what makes me most of proud my company. Creating a platform that not only brings art to the forefront but also give back to those in need.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I feel remaining humble and focused on your goals and knowing you’re why is most important in mine and anyone’s success. Not letting anyone’s words deter you from your vision is crucial. If you don’t believe in yourself and your vision than nobody else will. Once my mind is set on something, I don’t give up, no matter how many set back I always push forward.
