Meet Chauntaye Fayson of Complete Beauty Solutions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chauntaye Fayson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Chauntaye. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started doing hair when I was around 11 years old. I began making a profit around the age of 14. Back in MI, I was known for my “growing hands” and this is actually how I managed to get most of my clientele. At this time, my company name was Conveniently Beautiful Styles, because I was a traveling stylist.

After having my first daughter, who was diagnosed by a dermatologist with eczema, I set out to find products that would be good for her skin and also help her hair to grow. We had many issues with prescriptions and product referrals that didn’t quite work for her skin or hair. So, after watching my baby’s skin get blotch after blotch and her hair falling out, I began looking into and signing up with different natural platforms and forums. I began doing experiments on my own hair and skin, since I have sensitive skin. I couldn’t understand why I could help all these other people and not my own child.

The more research I did, the more I began to change my own way of living. I began my own natural hair journey back in 2012. I changed the foods I’d purchase for the house. I slowly began to clean out our refrigerator and focus on more fruits and vegetables, along with cooking from scratch more often. I changed the daily routine for the entire household. No chemicals were being purchased or used. I literally became obsessed with product description and ingredients.

I created a Hair Growth oil back in 2014 that my sister, who is a cosmetologist, used on one of her clients’ who has psoriasis. She usually styled this particular client’s hair in a full weave sew-in due to the nature of her hair growth and skin condition. One day, during a regular routine touch up visit, she was giving my sister an unusual amount of praise for “whatever it was she put in her hair the last time”, as the client put it. It was my hair growth oil, which I’d been using in my daughters’ hair to combat her hair loss and dry scalp, in order to get her hair to grow and retain moisture. Turns out this hair growth oil did more than just combat dry scalp, it healed and stimulated hair growth in this woman’s hair, who has had psoriasis and has not been able to get her hair to grow for so long.

At that time, there was no actual name for the product. It was strictly for in-house usage. My sister began using it more on her clients and eventually convinced me to work toward promoting it for sale. In which case, I began doing so in 2015.

Complete Beauty Solutions came about when I decided to put all that I’ve learned over the years into a full packaged deal. I was no longer a traveling stylist and I wanted to help women and children with these particular issues. My goal, upon changing my business name and creating the courses and products that I have, has been to promote natural beauty at its finest. This is from the inside. This is bringing children up to love cooking from scratch. This is giving women bonding opportunities with their daughters again. This is encouraging women to love who they are naturally, so that they can become the best version of themselves. This is bringing us all back to basics with inner peace and love. This is learning how one thing connects to the other and makes us powerful in our own right, without feeling inferior to societal standards, because we are living in everyday life and may not have the time or money to perfect a fake image.

Complete Beauty Solutions is the everyday women’s’ celebrity mentorship. We help with food substitutions, workout plans, motivational encouragement, natural journeys, clean eating, as well as natural hair and skin care.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth road and I am still bumping my head.

The biggest struggle I’ve had has been with marketing and promotion. I decided not to rely on business capital. Therefore, everything is an out of pocket expense. Trying to balance work life with business and home, is a huge challenge.

We plan to grow!

As of today, there are no immediate big plans. However, we are receptive to all that comes our way.
