I grew up in Temecula, California, and it was my family and friends who encouraged me to step into the HVAC industry. With their support, I enrolled in trade school in Temecula and learned the fundamentals of the trade.
In 2019, I moved to Arizona and worked for several HVAC companies across the state, building my skills and gaining real-world experience. During that time, I developed a deep passion not only for the technical side of the industry — the diagnostics, designing systems, and the craftsmanship behind it — but also for the customer service side of the business.
I saw how important it is to protect homeowners from improper installations, bad repairs, and contractors who don’t follow proper procedures. That realization, combined with my love for the air conditioning trade, is what inspired me to start Chase Heating & Cooling.
My goal wasn’t just to deliver high-quality work — it was to build one of the best teams in the industry. A team that cares about doing things right, values integrity, and treats every customer like family.
Today, Chase Heating & Cooling is known for our attention to detail, quality workmanship, strong communication, and true pride in our craft. We treat every home and business as if it were our own, and I’m proud of the reputation we’ve built together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The Struggles of Starting My Business
Owning and operating a business came with challenges I wasn’t fully prepared for. Some of the biggest struggles I faced in the beginning included:
Worrying about consistent work and whether the phone would keep ringing.
Not understanding the financial side of business — pricing, profit margins, taxes, and expenses.
Not having my service truck fully stocked, which made it harder to take care of customers efficiently.
Lack of systems and procedures for repairs, installations, customer service, and day-to-day operations.
No sales process, payment system, or financing options in place for customers.
These were all growing pains, but each one taught me something valuable about leadership, preparation, and responsibility.
Advice for Anyone Wanting to Start a Business (In Any Trade)
If I could offer advice to someone wanting to start their own business, it would be this:
Get help early. Hire an accountant, a bookkeeper, and professionals who understand the business side.
Build systems, not chaos. Have your processes in place — pricing, sales, service, parts, communication, financing, and follow-up.
Know your products. Never sell something you don’t believe in. Make sure the equipment you offer is high-quality and that replacement parts are easy to obtain for your customers.
Maintain an online presence. People need to see your work, your reviews, and your credibility.
Keep your attitude right. Success comes from discipline — doing the right thing even when no one is watching.
Stay positive and stay consistent. A strong mindset and genuine effort will take you further than anything else.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Something surprising that most people don’t know about me is how much I love rescue dogs.
Growing up, my family had two rescue dogs — Cooper and Buttercup — and that’s really where it started for me. Now I have my own rescue dog, Loki, a German Shepherd I’ve had since 2019, and he’s a huge part of my life.
A big goal of mine is to one day adopt more rescue dogs — at least four. I really believe in giving them a second chance, and there’s just something special about the bond you build with a dog that’s been rescued.
