Meet Casey Olson of Casey Olson Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Olson.

Can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today. You can include as little or as much detail as you’d like.
For the past 11 years, I have had a passion for helping entrepreneurs showcase who they are! This passion started when I launched my blog design business, Hot Bliggity Blog, back in 2008. After the first few years, I wasn’t only designing custom blogs, but I was designing websites and marketing graphics for multiple clients and businesses while still under the Hot Bliggity Blog name. I then started to love company branding on a larger scale and decided to go back to school to get my degree in Web Design. For my capstone project (in 20015), I designed a new website featuring all that I offer (beyond only blog design). I totally reinvented my brand and mission and launched my current company Casey Olson Designs.

Launching Casey Olson Designs has been a total game-changer for me as a business owner. Not only did I begin offering web design and company branding, but I added photography to my company! I’m excited to share more about Casey Olson Designs in the coming questions, but either way, be sure to get to the bottom of this article to check out some of my work!

Has it been a smooth road? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For both of my businesses, it has been a pretty smooth road (thankfully)! Both have gained interest and clients pretty quickly! For many years Hot Bliggity Blog was the very first company to show up when someone typed “free Blogger backgrounds” into google (and this was back when Blogger was a huge trend). I had 15 thousand people coming to my website every day installing my free backgrounds (or ordering a custom blog design from me) and all of those blogs were then linking back to my website. This created a lot of constant new traffic and clients! I loved what I did so much!

In 2014, my growing family moved to Gilbert, Arizona (when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter). I had many health concerns/spine issues during that pregnancy and my marriage ended shortly after having her. She was my third baby and my oldest child was only four years old when she was born. On top of this, I had to go through the trauma of divorce and holding my footing with being a single mom to 3 tiny kids and attending school for Web Design. I really let my company Hot Bliggity Blog go during that transitioning time. I had a very good thing going and I lost it.

For a while, I would get very down when my kids had to go to their dad’s house because I missed them so immensely so I started to go out in nature to experience and capture the sunset on the nights they were there. This brought me so much peace and hope for my new life. I began an Instagram page @reminiscement to share my landscape photography and it really took off. It helped me regain confidence in myself and helped Casey Olson Designs get noticed. I even create graphic artwork of myself that portrays me following my dreams and healing from past life trauma. It was then that I added photography as a service through Casey Olson Designs. My experience and love for both business promotion and photography joined forces at this time which is really when everything changed for me. My company is now constantly growing and thriving and I’m always adding new and exciting services to my clients!

Truth be told, I’ve gone through many traumas in the last four years and as hard as they were, I am thankful for them because they are what molded me and made me into a better me. I am now much more strong and confident. I am now following my dreams and constantly focusing on the beauty that I have around me. I couldn’t be happier.

Tell us about your business/company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
At Casey Olson Designs, I offer everything a company would need to showcase who they are through stunning marketing photos and custom company branding & web design. I offer many exciting services that really help entrepreneurs and businesses showcase what they offer in an amazing, visual way that they are excited to share with their clients both online and in print!

Not only do I offer amazing marketing photos, but I also web/blog design to showcase those photos on along with marketing materials that match their new brand. In addition to all this, I offer my photography clients an option for me to manage their business Instagram for one month and send them tutorials on how I am managing it so they can continue growing their clientele and get noticed as a company. This gets them on their feet, running with how they want to market themselves. I also cater to all of my photos/designs around the vision that the company has for their branding so they are sure to love it!

What I’m most proud of as a company is the quality of the photos and designs I deliver my clients. I truly think my ability to capture the essence of who a company (or individual) is is something I have a unique eye for.

My landscape and graphic photo art that I share through the @reminiscement part of my company is also for sale through my website and in art shows. I have many clients and fans who truly love and support my work. When my work is shared on the local news channels, I have so many people who are excited to tell me they knew it was mine before they even read the name! I love that when people see my work, they know I was the designer/creative behind it since it shows I have a personal brand/style that shines in my work.

I truly love what I do and I get very excited to help each new client show the world who they are and what they have to offer!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My ability to make someone else’s vision a reality with not only my photos and graphic art but my marketing graphics and websites as well. There is nothing I love more than this! Plus, I feel I am amazing at it. My clients and I have a lot of fun creating things together that they are excited to showcase who they are with!
