Her illustrious career spans several decades, appearing in over 400 magazines worldwide. Camerone has walked countless runways for designers such as Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, and Giorgio Armani. She has been seen on billboards nationwide (including Times Square) for Ralph Lauren POLO. Her career has flourished – Peers consistent with high praise, acknowledging Camerone as one of the industry’s most ‘all-around’ professional models. Renowned for her iconic glamour and fashion, Camerone’s style on and off the runway is one of a kind. A MODEL PATIENT
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis early in her career, Camerone’s astonishing efforts off the runway advocating for MS patient health and treatment are second to none. On October 2, 2019, the fashion world was stunned upon hearing that Camerone had survived a catastrophic Widowmaker heart attack and emergency heart surgery. Unbelievably, this was followed by three additional heart attacks and heart surgeries, all within a calendar year. Never one to let anything keep her down, and always with a positive smile, Camerone turned her suffering behind the scenes into a monumental tell-all book, A Model Patient. Riveting and exceptional, her story of rising in silence with resilience and perseverance in the face of all odds leaves every reader spellbound. All that glitters isn’t gold while living a very public life. Camerone guarded a heavy secret of spousal betrayal while fighting for her life in the hospital. The uncovering of horrific truths, orchestrated chaos, and obliterated friendships all pointed to the one person who promised never, ever hurt her. A Model Patient will be available worldwide in 2024.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
What I’ve been personally mired in the past four years is undoubtedly loathsome. Nothing, absolutely nothing, in my toolbox of life would’ve been a suitable instrument even to wield. The endless navigation of blind twists and betrayal pummeled my broken heart. I won’t ever get answers. My life today isn’t dependent on it! The tenacity to tackle the arduous task of moving on has been all on me. Physically – Multiple Sclerosis has changed my life. A Widowmaker heart attack/Heart Failure stopped my heart from beating. Just because I don’t walk with a cane or in a wheelchair today doesn’t mean I don’t have MS. Being told, “You don’t look sick, so you must be faking it,” is beyond infuriating. In the past, It’s made me cry. It’s even tripped me up. Recently, some minimized my Widowmaker and subsequent heart attacks/surgeries as “made-up panic attacks “just for gossip. Today my voice is strong and clear. And my opinion? “You don’t look sick,” is gladly clapped back with, “Well, you don’t look like the village idiot, so there.”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with what you do?
No stranger to Philanthropy-Camerone is an admired and respected leader, heralded nationally for her ongoing dedication to advancing the mission of many charities. Locally, Camerone has helped raise millions of dollars for many Arizona charities. Camerone is a prestigious AFP National Philanthropy Day Volunteer Fundraiser Award Winner and has been bestowed the extraordinary President’s Call to Service Award presented by President George W. Bush. Camerone was recently honored on stage at the star-studded Race to Erase MS 30th Anniversary Gala in Hollywood.

In my first year in high school, I stood up at Sadie Hawkins. He’s lucky I didn’t drag his ass onto a Jenny Jones talk show later in life!
