Meet Bryn and her two sister’s Aevyn and Eden of Shine Sticker Co in Gilbert

Today we’d like to introduce you to to Bryn and her two sister’s Aevyn and Eden.

Bryn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My sisters and I are all very artistic, we love to sketch, paint and draw. A few years ago, we had the idea of starting a sticker company. Our parents told us to work on a business plan and do some research. We did. But our plans did not really materialize when they told us we needed to earn some of our own money to start it. A few months passed and we went to one of our favorite local restaurants, Backyard Taco. They have an amazing sticker wall there and when we saw it we knew we wanted to have our very own stickers up on that wall someday!

For Christmas our parents surprised us and had a few of our ideas printed and also created our company. That was just over a year ago and we are shocked and so grateful for how much our little sticker company, Shine Sticker Co. has grown!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have learned a lot! We have learned how to market, budget, build connections, reach out to people, run markets and more! It has been exciting to learn and sometimes out of our comfort zone. We have loved learning together and with our parents. Shine Sticker Co. is really a family company. All 6 of us are involved and have different roles. Our little brother even weighs in on some of the designs! He is very outgoing and loves to tell everyone about his sister’s stickers. At times we don’t always agree on the next sticker to print or the next market to sign up for, but overall owning a business together as young sisters has been a positive and bonding experience. There is nothing like the feeling of seeing our stickers out in the “wild” or to walk into a boutique where they are carried! It is such an exciting and proud feeling.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Shine Sticker Co. – what should we know?
We are really proud that we are young, female entrepreneurs! Our mission is to spread positivity and or goal is to create stickers to brighten your day. It is really fun to talk to our customers and hear them laugh or be inspired by the quotes on our stickers. So many people really connect to our stickers. One of our very best sellers is a sticker that says, “the world needs your light.” We love that this sticker resonates with so many people because we think it is true! We all have something unique to offer to the world, and we need everyone! Another popular sticker says, “kind over cool” we hope in some small way we are reminding the world to be kinder!

We set a lot of big goals last year for our first year as a business, we met every single one of those goals. That was so exciting!

Our stickers are super high quality and are dishwasher safe. Putting stickers on water bottles is super popular, however many other stickers fall apart quickly when washed. Our stickers last! They are amazing.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
We have been blown away by the support we have received! There are so many amazing boss babes and other small business owners who have cheered us on collaborated with us and given us advice.

We love the local soap maker, Bethany with Lather Bath Bar. She has been a huge support to us. We are grateful for the amazing guys at Preach and Tough Tie Apparel; Kevin and Skylar. Kurtis, the owner of Chunk Cookies has been amazing! We are super grateful for Cathy at The Merchantile where we sell our stickers, she is so friendly and helpful. We feel super grateful to have collaborated with Brightbox and Kortni Jeane.

We are blown away by all the support from our customers. We are so thankful and appreciative of them!
