Meet Brittany Facio of IMAGE Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Facio.

Brittany, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My start in the beauty industry was a very personal one, and it is a story that I share often with my clients because it’s totally relatable. I started my journey 10 years ago because of an unwavering, selfish need to better my self aesthetically. Certainly not something I am ashamed of considering that’s what we do for a living as beauty professionals! I wanted to be the best version of myself and beauty school was going to help me achieve that. I took my education seriously, got licensed as quickly as I could and got to work. Every positioned I held was an opportunity to better myself. Whether it was in an apothecary salon/spa or a dermatology office; there was always something to be learned and someone willing to teach me. The position I am in now gives me the amazing advantage of sharing my 10 years of full spectrum experience with my clients and aiding them in their personal journey!

Has it been a smooth road?
“Easy” and “Beauty Industry” are not synonymous terms. I had my trials and I had my moments of bliss. There was a moment in time where I quit completely and was working in a call center for a Cellular Carrier. That lasted two months before my mentor helped pull me up by my bootstraps and get me back to doing what I love; making people love their own reflection and themselves. No matter the struggle, no matter the hardship, it never truly lasts as long as the joy and happiness that professional satisfaction can bring. I can vaguely remember the terrible customer interactions, but I will never forget making Brandi cry for clearing her acne after years of failed treatment. As the saying goes, “If it were easy, it wouldn’t be worth it!” It’s so worth it!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The amazing thing about doing what you love every day is that it never feels like work. I have had an amazing career thus far and every opportunity I have been given has opened yet another door for me to advance my skills and just be better! My proudest moment in these past 10 years has definitely been taking a chance on Sales and proving to myself that I can stifle my self-doubt and do whatever I set my mind to. I hit my goals, form amazing relationships with my clients, and kick butt!
