Meet Brittanny Wheeler of Foodie Paradise in North

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittanny Wheeler.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was always interested in cooking from a very young age. I was taught how to cook by watching my grandmother and mom in the kitchen. I became more focused on cooking and baking when I was around twelve years old. I had many interests as a child and my parents allowed me to explore those. I went to college and I’ve had many different career paths, but everything leads back to cooking. I was always creating new dishes and getting feedback from taste testers. Cooking became my safe space and allowed me to truly be creative. That’s when I decided to start Foodie Paradise. I wanted to create something that could lift someone’s spirit and have them experience different flavors through food.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I always tend to look at things from a positive standpoint. I don’t think anything in life is a smooth road, but it depends on what you make it. The road hasn’t been smooth always, but I’ve learned a lot about running a business. I’ve learned more about myself through some of the challenges that I’ve faced. The challenges just mean that I have more to learn and at the end we’ll be stronger for it.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Foodie Paradise, LLC story. Tell us more about the business.
Foodie Paradise is a catering company that specializes in Southern Comfort and Korean Fusion Cuisine. I’m most proud of the fact that, Foodie Paradise uses local businesses to guarantee the Farm to Table experience. We want to ensure that the freshest ingredients are being used when preparing cuisine for our customers.

We focus on our personalized catering experience for each and every customer that we service. Not one customer will have the same experience because each customer is unique. This is how we set ourselves apart from others in this business.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I think luck really hasn’t played a factor in either my life or business. Anything can be achieved if you work hard and have patience. Sometimes, things don’t happen right away and that can be discouraging. The main thing to remember is that life is a roller coaster. There are ups and downs, but staying determined you will eventually reach your goal. In my life, I’ve taken many different paths that have lead me to Foodie Paradise. I’m sure that I’ll have new experiences that will contribute to my dedication to Foodie Paradise and the future that I see for the business. I always try to see the positive side to every situation and learn from it. That’s my life motto.
