So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, I do have quite the story! I will try my best to make it interesting for all of you! I’m really just a small town girl living in the big city. I was born in Memphis and raised in Germantown, Tennessee for half of my life, which is a little suburb outside of Memphis.

Fast forward 13 years to present time… I’m 27 with a beautiful, rambunctious 2.5-year-old. She’s honestly the whole reason I went on this journey. Most local elderberry vendors use raw honey, which can be unsafe for children under two, and very much unsafe for babies under one due to the increased risk of botulism.

Being a first-time mom, I was terrified of my daughter getting sick. I literally dreaded it more than just about anything. My goal was to find a way to give her all the positive benefits from using elderberry, without the honey, and that’s where it all started.

I found a way to make a syrup that was honey/spice free, and safe for babies six+ months. My daughter was seven mo. when she started taking it regularly, and she is now 2.5. Not once has she ever had a cold, fever, flu, virus, or even a runny nose. She isn’t kept in a bubble either, as I am constantly exposed to so many different things on a consistent basis.

I’ve seen it do some incredible things regarding colds, viruses, influenza, allergies, inflammation, asthma, skin conditions like psoriasis and acne, arthritis, and so many other things. The list is shorter for what it doesn’t do really. It’s incredible stuff!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I don’t think any business is necessarily a smooth road. There are a ton of obstacles and responsibilities that come with owning a business.

Right now, my only issue is keeping enough product in stock! It’s come so far, and I’m so busy all the time.

However, it’s worth every second knowing I have many people who count on me to provide safe and effective products for their families!

Well, since you asked… I specialize in delicious, potent, honey and spice free elderberry syrup safe for all ages six+ months. Elderberry is a natural anti-inflammatory that helps with so many different things, but I’ll tell you some of the most common. Studies show as elderberry concentrate increases, harmful bacteria growth decreases.

This stuff covers viral infections, common colds, many strains of influenza, allergies, inflammation, several strains of bacteria associated with upper respiratory infections, and is a highly incredible antiviral/antibacterial all while providing positive immune support.

My products are given daily (five-six days a week) to prevent you from getting sick by providing positive immune support and taken every three-four hours during an active illness to minimize duration and symptoms. I also make other products elderberry related. The goal is to provide a product for everyone. If you can’t use sugar, I make tinctures!

They are made with gluten-free vodka, steeped for six weeks, then bottled. You use the dropper provided to administer that way. I also make gummies and lollipops. Gummies are 1tsp each, so most kids only need to take one, while adults take three. Lollipops come in both child and adult sizes as well!

What are you striving for, what criteria or markers have you set as indicators of success?
There are several things regarding success in my opinion.

First and foremost, providing a top quality product that is different. Something that works, and something you’re passionate about. I believe I am quite successful already, but there’s always room for improvement.
