Meet Brianne Van Sande of Young Living in Glendale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne Van Sande.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Brianne. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Before Young Living, I was a stay at home mom (SAHM) with two little ones. I was lacking purpose and felt like I was drowning in spit up and diapers. I loved being a stay at home mom because that had always been my calling, but honestly? I was bored out of my mind.

Before being a SAHM, I received my bachelors in Psychology and my Masters in Professional Counseling. I was passionate about helping people improve their lives and live to their fullest potential. However, after completing my internship, I chose not to continue in the field because 1) I didn’t want to leave my baby with a stranger 2) I only got paid for the hours I put in 3) I didn’t want to be paying daycare when I was barely making enough to cover that cost 4) I got really tired of having to show up at an office every day working for someone else.

Not only do I not like having to be somewhere every day at a certain time, but the hours were really long, and I like being in charge of my own schedule. I was not looking for a business opportunity at the time, even though deep down, I longed for more purpose and mental stimulation. One day, a friend of mine recommended I try some essential oils to help me through pregnancy and childbirth.

My kids were sick all the time, and she mentioned we could use oils for immune boosting as well. I researched them extensively, eventually purchasing the starter kit she recommended to me through Young Living. It was a slow process learning how to use them, but after a while, I was using oils for pretty much everything! I loved having natural remedies free of side effects that I could go to for anything that came up in motherhood.

What happened next? I’m the type of person that tells my friends about the things that I love. If I see an amazing movie or eat at a great restaurant, I definitely want to pass that information along so others can benefit as well. I remember telling my friends I was not a “salesperson,” however, I loved the oils so much, I naturally started telling others about them.

Since it is a referral based business, I gave them my referral number, and I started making money without much intention. After a while, I realized that I could share from my heart authentically about what I was loving and that I could generate an income to fund my oil addiction simply by listening to the needs of others and offering solutions that would help them. If they were interested, I helped them, and if not, no worries.

Four years in, I have received six promotions with the company, three all expenses paid recognition retreats, one all expenses paid cruise to Honduras and Belize, and thousands of dollars of free product. I don’t think I need to mention that as a counselor I was not earning free vacations! The best part about all of this is that I still get to help people.

Young Living has a mission statement about helping people with wellness, purpose, and abundance, and not only am I working on those areas for myself and my family, I get to help others in these areas as well. I get to help people get clean products in their home, achieve better health and wellness, and help my friends who are lacking in purpose find light in life again.

I get to hold the dreams of my friends in my hands and heart, link arms with them, and help give them the resources and tools to get the financial means they need to fulfill those dreams. I’m learning new things every day, I’m having a ton of fun, and now my income is limitless. It’s been an incredible journey!

Where else in the world can you generate a six-figure plus income and only invest $160 in a starter kit (that you personally get to use) to start a business?

Has it been a smooth road?
If it were easy, everyone would do it. Network marketing is a simple business model, but mentally challenging.

In order to be successful as an entrepreneur, you have to believe in yourself, in your business model, and in your company. I have had to do a lot of professional development in order to get to a place where I was confident in all threee of these areas.

Growing a business at home while raising young children is no easy feat for sure. My biggest challenge continues to be showing up well for both the people I love at home and for my team at the same time.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Young Living – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am both a distributor for Young Living and a professional network marketer. I help people find wellness, purpose, and time/financial freedom through both our amazing health products as well as our generous compensation plan. I am most known for my passion for business coaching. I especially love to help women who are lacking in purpose as I was and help show them that there is a better way; that they can work for themselves, choose their hours, and find work that both fulfills and excites them.

Our products are so high quality that almost 40% of our 2,300 customers order on a monthly basis. We are a product driven company and set the standard for quality and purity in our industry. I love the fact that we have our own farms all around the world that you can physically visit to learn more about our Seed to Seal promise (www.seedtoseal.com). We are a one stop shop and have over 600 plant-based products.

We are most known for our essential oils, but also have top quality supplements, household, make-up, and personal care products as well. As a business coach, I am set apart because of my counseling background. I love to ask questions that help my teammates learn how to excel at their goals. I spend time learning about each leader’s personality and strengths to help the team operate more efficiently.

I am aware of my own limitations and areas of weakness so that I can delegate the things I am not good at to others who are gifted in that area. In that way, we can all operate in our strengths and excel as a team. I love helping women to work through their fears and insecurities to reach their fullest potential in life, relationships, and business.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am currently working towards reaching the top of our company’s compensation plan. With more, you can do more good in this world, and there is a lot more to be done.

Personally, I would love to pay off our house, and then be able to fully fund our children’s college funds, so they don’t have student loans.

After that, I would love to buy cars for single moms, fully fund adoptions for friends, and have a larger gift fund so we can freely give more to the needs of our family, friends, and community.
