Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Lizbeth Marquez.
Brianna Lizbeth, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I come from a family full of great bakers and cooks. My interest in baking began when I was a teenager. I started with the simple box mixes. Then, started getting more creative with them, until, I decided to make my own sweets from scratch. Baking is something I really enjoy and find it is a stress reliever.
It brings me joy when I see people enjoy my pastries and the work I put into them. All of my sweets including my vegan treats are all made from scratch and with love!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been smooth! It is a hobby that has turned into a small business.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I make cakes, cupcakes, cookies, a variety of flan, a variety of Puerto Rican treats, creme brulee, banana bread and a variety of vegan treats and energy bars.
I enjoy them all and have gotten great feedback from all. But, I think I’m going to have to say flan is my specialty. I make the traditional vanilla flan, cheese, chocolate, Nutella, choco flan, almond, coconut, guava, and mango.
The Caribbean runs through my blood and I like to bring those flavors here to the desert.
How do you define success?
Success to me is about making people happy. It’s not so much about the money. I find joy in sharing my flavorful creations with others.
