Meet Brian Stearns of EcoFasten Solar in Industrial Area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Stearns.

Brian, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started and spent several decades of my career as a roofer, and installed many roofs and various products on roofs. From that experience, we created Vermont Slate and Copper Services, which became Alpine Snow Guards. It became, and remains, a leading manufacturer and seller of devices that allow snow to melt or drop off in small amounts before falling to the ground. Based on the success of Alpine Snow Guards and the innovation of its products, customers in the solar industry asked if I could make products that connect solar panels and related equipment to residential and commercial roofs. Seven years later, we are a leader in the roof mounting segment of the solar industry.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like many companies that have gone from start-up to market share leader, we have had growing pains. Also, as a company that has customer service as one of its core values, we constantly seek to innovate and improve. That creates struggles along the way too. Success is never easily achieved, but we have fun on the journey.

EcoFasten Solar – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
EcoFasten Solar makes and sells products that connect solar panels to residential and commercial roofs. What distinguishes us from others is our background and expertise in roofing. We know, from decades of experience, what will be the best solution to install solar panels to any kind of roof. Our products are the most effective and efficient and the easiest to install for the installers on the roofs.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far has been hearing our customers telling others in the industry that I, EcoFasten Solar, and our products are high integrity and the most reliable.
