Meet Brette Morgan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brette Morgan.

Brette, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a Washington state girl who transplanted to Phoenix, AZ, I love the desert and all that Arizona has to offer. I enjoy long hikes, talking about how cute my dogs are (three poodles for those of you who want to know) and adventuring to new places.

When I was in high school, I started videography as a way for me to remember the feelings and friendships I had created that one day I may potentially forget. At first, videography was a creative outlet and something fun I could show my friends after we went on an adventure. I still have these films to this day that never cease to make me happy. (: After high school, I bounced around colleges and never really found something I was passionate about. This was hard because I had a deep passion for creating and I had nothing to create!

So, a little bit of college debt a credit card swipe later, I bought a nice camera and I was dead set on being a wedding filmmaker. In the beginning, I worked my booty off to create films and staying busy. I still stay so motivated in my work because I have such a passion for it. Giving back the most special moments in someone’s life is the most rewarding job that I do NOT take lightly. I am so grateful to be in the place that I am, doing what I love. I get to meet the most amazing couples, each having a unique and wonderful love story. I am lucky to have clients that trust my creativity and give me creative control to deliver them the most unique wedding film that perfectly represents the feel and vibe of their day.

“When you have a passion for something then you tend not only to be better at it, but you work harder at it too.” This Vera Wang quote sums it all up for me. Film making started as a passion and I continue to stay passionate in everything that I create!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Creating and running a business is hard work and sometimes it doesn’t come easy! When I was still working full time it was hard to find any time at all to make films. Taking the steps to put all my effort into learning every detail of the wedding and having the time to devote day and days into editing the films has upped my game completely.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Brette Morgan Films – what should we know?
Brette Morgan Films is the wedding videography company that I own and run. The person that each couple decides to hire on their wedding day has a HUGE responsibility to capture arguably the most important moments in someone’s life (I mean walking down the aisle, come on this is HUGE). I do not take this lightly at all! I aspire to create a one-of-a-kind experience for my brides and grooms. From the first email to the last hug, I want to be more than a vendor, more than a videographer and defiantly a friend by the end of the wedding planning process. FaceTime calls, coffee dates, hair-tie holder, hyper girl and professional third wheel are all in my job description. (: Creating high-end wedding films is just a small part in Brette Morgan Films. The love and passion that goes into every step along the way is the most important part.
