Meet Breea and Cody Bringham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Breea and Cody Bringham.

Breea started Tell the Birds in 2012 when she was in high school. Her grandfather was a photographer in the war and instilled in her a love of film and photography. She met Cody while they were both in Utah for school, and he began helping her with her business. They dated for a year, got engaged, and were married earlier this year in April. Now, they both work in the business full-time, capturing memories and emotions for their clients and telling their own story along the way through social media and YouTube vlogs.

Please tell us about your art.
We create photos and videos with the main purpose to “make people cry.” We love capturing emotion and helping people to remember the most special moments of their lives. We have a passion for beautiful places and events, and we try hard to make each session unique for our clients.

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
Life has become easier for artists like us in recent years as the internet and social media has exploded and helped our work to be seen throughout the world. The difficult part of that is that there is much more competition and it’s harder to grab people’s attention.

Cities can encourage art and artists through a few different ways. Creating and preserving beautiful locations in the city (parks, buildings, the outdoors, etc.) help provide a place for artists to create their work.

Recognizing and highlighting local art and artists also helps bring awareness. And cultivating the arts through events that showcase music, art, food, etc. help bring the community together.
