Meet Brandon Owens of ALKMY in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Owens.

Brandon, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I spent the last 15 years in the corporate marketing world, and I was fortunate enough to work alongside some of the largest brands in the US. My business partner Sean Kyte spent the last decade in the film industry.

The idea for ALKMY was born out of a need we saw in the market. Truly professional video production is time-consuming and costly for small brands because traditional agencies end up with a lot of overhead and their clients inevitably end up paying for it.

At ALKMY we built a quick and nimble solution to digital content creation, and we bring in trusted partners to fill any special needs in our projects. This approach allows us to cut the costs and timeline of production without impacting quality.

Both Sean and I have a passion for seeing good done in the world, so we specifically partner with brands that are focused on doing something amazing for humanity.

Our goal is to tell your story to the world and do it the right way If your brand is focused on altruism your story is inherently interesting! Our secret sauce is our clients, we just get to tell they’re amazing stories.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth doing is ever easy, and in marketing, everything is a challenge, that’s why we are here. We solve complex problems for our clients every day. Internally there is always a lot of adjustment when you go from working for other people to working for yourself. Learning how to lead is challenging enough but learning how to lead yourself is the battle that kills most entrepreneurs.

I am an odd duck, I don’t really have many childhood memories…
