Meet Brandon Lopez of Junk Mania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Lopez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
This story belongs to both owners, Ronnie and Brandon. We agreed to write this under one voice, Brandon’s.

I was born and raised here in the two-season state of Arizona (hot and less hot). It wasn’t until 7th grade (15 years ago) that I met my good buddy, Ronnie, who had moved to Arizona from Michigan. We would spend countless hours playing video games, paintball, wrestling, and other shenanigans.

I struggled in school growing up. I would rather be hanging out with my friends, like Ronnie, than sit in a classroom. It wasn’t that I struggled because of the material but because I was far more interested in other things. I love learning and education but struggled to do that in a classroom setting. While many of my friends were planning for college and their future careers, I was dreaming about owning my own business and hiring my buddies.

Long story short…it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that Ronnie introduced me to junk removal. He had been in the industry for 5 years and introduced it to me as a business idea. I initially shrugged it off because I was focusing on my own business. It took 2 years, but I started to see the opportunity in junk removal. I decided to revisit his idea and see if he were still interested in starting his own company. We were operating our new junk removal business within the next couple of weeks.

We started with our F350 short bed truck and our trusty ol’ trailer (her name is Olga). Between his industry-specific knowledge and my operational skills, we fit like two puzzle pieces for our business. Junk Mania was born, and we went straight to work!

Junk Mania is a socially responsible, eco-friendly, and community-focused junk removal business that donates and recycles every chance we get! We have grown a lot since we started and have very ambitious goals! Keep your eyes out for Junk Mania!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have never found myself to be on a smooth road when pursuing something big. We like to think that if we aren’t running into obstacles then we aren’t doing the right things. It is the bumps, potholes, and nails in our tires that keep us moving forward as it is these obstacles that lend lessons to be learned.
