Meet Beth Wieland

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Wieland.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Beth. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a Physical Therapist by trade, a baseball wife by season, a boy Mom and own my own skincare business with Rodan+Fields. I started using the skincare products to clear up a lifelong struggle with acne. Like most teens, I thought I would outgrow my acne! Fast forward ten years and I was STILL dealing with acne as an adult and I was tired of trying the next promising cream. With no time to go to the Dermatologist and a need to start preventing aging concerns I gave the 60 day money back guarantee with Rodan+Fields a try. After clearing up my acne and getting compliments on my skin for the first time in my life, I decided to partner with the world-renowned dermatologists to share the products with family and friends. My skincare business started as a shameless shoe fund. More like a fund to cover those unnecessary purchases in life that I didn’t need but really wanted. At this point in my life, I had left my job in the clinic as a Physical Therapist to follow my husband playing out his dream of professional baseball. Sounds amazing right?

You see, it wasn’t an easy decision for me to leave my job as a Physical Therapist. I had gone to 8 years of school and gotten my Doctorate in a career I was passionate about. I loved helping others and it left me fulfilled. However, when I started traveling with my husband, I lost my identity and purpose. I was no longer Beth, the Physical Therapist. I would identify with the unknown rollercoaster ride we call baseball life. It wasn’t until my second season traveling to a foreign country away from my family and friends that I realized something needed to change. I had this ache in my heart that I could be doing more. I never would have guessed it was in the form of a skincare business. I had no interest in skincare and barely even used a consistent regimen. But it came in a season of my life that I needed connection to women more than ever. Living in a foreign country is exciting and fun but also a challenge. The blessing in my business these past few years isn’t just about the income I’ve made from my phone but about finding passion and purpose in an unconventional way. A way that is not only changing my life but the lives of women around me and across the globe.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With a little over two years in my skincare business, I’ve experienced a lot more NO’s than YESES. I once rolled my eyes at this opportunity so I understand the stigma and feelings one has to get past to be successful. Overcoming the fear of what others think can be the most freeing accomplishment and can unlock true potential. It’s a work in progress but I know what this skincare and business has done for me, my family and so many women on my team. Therefore, I will not let a few NO’s hold me back from touching lives all over the globe!

Please tell us about your business.
The world-renowned Dermatologist’s that created Proactiv developed an anti-aging skincare brand to effectively help treat the top aging concerns from patients seen in their office. Initially, the products were sold in high-end department stores. However, a little over ten years ago with the rise of ecommerce the Doctors decided to make a risky move and pull out of department stores to go into direct sales. Giving ordinary people like you and I the ability to partner with these award-winning products to make an income by washing our face and sharing about it! Rodan+Fields is now the #1 Skincare Brand in North America and the fastest-growing in Australia. We are about to launch in the 3rd largest skincare market in the world, Japan. Our products are clinically tested and in the 90th percentile which is why you don’t even have to try out the products to know they work. With initial brand awareness of only 3%, this company is just getting started. I am proud to be a part of the fastest growing team in the company and the heart, community and faith my team continues to shine in good and bad times is one of the biggest reasons I have found success.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I think success is when you continue to stand back up after a failure. Not only standing back up but embracing the process and knowing that this is exactly what you NEED to get to where you want to be.
