Meet Bertus Cilliers of bloomROCK Partners

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bertus Cilliers.

Hi Bertus, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I came to the USA as the CFO of a Global IT company in 2009. After 11 years as a CFO, I decided to leave the corporate world and went to culinary school for a semester until Covid hit and I decided to go back to what I love and know and that is to help companies. As I did not want to go to the Corporate world but utilize my experience to work more in the non-profit and small business industries.

I started bloomROCK partners which were initially focused on assisting companies with cost savings and tax incentives. Since its inception in 2020, we added various additional services for our clients that include Fractional CFO services, business loans, and equity and Business Planning and Forecasting. I also joined various non-profit Boards and became a SCORE mentor.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Moving from the Corporate world to running your own business is definitely not a smooth road. You are all functions for your organization, and I had to learn quickly the importance of marketing, sales, and networking. Innovation and pivoting to the needs of the client were also very important to me as each client was unique in their needs and pain points

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about bloomROCK Partners?
We offer our clients Fractional CFO services, business plans, and forecasts. We assist our clients to make sense of their financials and assist them in actively managing their revenue growth and cost savings on a monthly basis through our interactive tools.

We further assist our clients with cost savings and tax rebates to improve their profit and cash flow immediately. We also assist our clients with business loans.

What set us apart is our personal approach to making the business owner feel that they have a “right-hand man” to improve their profits and grow their business.

We are proud of our flexibility and our approach to listening to our customers and understanding their needs. We pride ourselves in our free services where we find cost savings and tax rebates for our clients. This truly sets us apart in the industry due to our no-risk approach. For our CFO services, we offer our customers monthly cost-effective options without long-term contracts

I believe in taking calculated and well-thought-out risks. If I look back at my life, all my major decisions were carefully evaluated
