Meet Baba

Today we’d like to introduce you to Baba.

Hi Baba, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Baba. I’m the owner of VINTAGE TATTOO in Los Angeles, founded in 1995, I am as well the Master Sponsor of the Body Art Expo since the day it was created along with Mega Creations back in 2003.

We are a traveling tattoo expo that over the years has visited many cities over the past 18 years, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Ventura, San Diego, Tucson, San Antonio, San Mateo, Phoenix and now Scottsdale!!

The Phoenix, and Scottsdale community and crowd are very receptive towards tattooing and our show in particular. We are very grateful for this!!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Along this 18 year journey, we have ran into some “drama”, from poor attendance in one city, to contradicting health officials in another, trash talking from a rival show, but nothing has been as devastating as the Covid epidemic…

But we have overcome the drama and we have helped set some of the standards and practices for a safe show…

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My personal tattoo work is all over the place in my 32-year career. Known for traditional and lettering. In the past 6 years, I’ve developed a Darker Romantic style, gothic and detailed, as well as really creative cover-up ability.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Mega Productions and Edwin
