Meet Ashley Wiley of Clear Skin Acne Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Wiley.

Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began working for activities broker on Maui in 2002 which included retail sales; skincare, etc. I loved the skin care line so much that when I moved back to the mainland, I set out to introduce it to Arizona. In 2005, I attended an Esthetics program to strengthen my position as an educated professional. I experienced a variety of spa positions and eventually narrowed my focus on acne as a specialty.

From there, I attended a Medical Assistant program in order to gain marketability in the dermatology field. I was hired immediately in a dermatologist’s office as a back office medical assistant. It was there where I learned that these doctors were great with skin cancer and skin diseases of that nature but they had no intention of clearing acne. Acne is considered their best money maker because it is an ongoing epidemic with no end in sight. I knew I was capable of making a difference and I didn’t need doctors or drugs do so. I set out on my own and in August 2011, Clear Skin Acne Therapy of Arizona was born. I have been self-employed ever since and making a real difference for hundreds of people, holistically.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Acne is such a sensitive subject. I rely solely on happy client referrals to keep my business afloat.

There are thousands of practitioners in Arizona who claim to treat acne, but none of them approach acne from a holistic standpoint. Alternatively, my program deals heavily with diet adjustments and education in order to stay clear long term.

Unsupported claims of successful clearing come from practitioners who may or may not have the best intentions at heart. They cover a wide range including dermatologists, acupuncturists, estheticians, hormone therapists, cosmetologists, energy workers, multi-level marketing programs like RF consultants and essential oil sales reps.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Growing up among the Teton mountains… Bicycle basket rides with my dad through the wilderness.
