Meet Ashley Jewett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Jewett.

Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my real estate career from the mortgage banking industry in 2015. From there, I transitioned into traditional real estate specializing in the luxury market. On my daughter’s 5th birthday in October of 2018, she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. At the time, I was with My Home Group Real Estate and received an abundance of support from owners Mark and Jeromy, in which I am forever grateful. All of her treatment was inpatient, so we were in the hospital for roughly nine months fighting for her life. I am proud to announce she is now in remission. I feel blessed to have a career that allowed me to be by her side. Although I put my business somewhat on pause, I was able to pick up where I started and hit the full ground force. I love what I do and the flexibility of the industry.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In real estate, you get what you put into it. It also takes extreme patience and resilience. There are high’s and lows but you have to push through. Same with our cancer battle. Positivity and perseverance got us through. Being a single mother of two children, fighting for my daughter’s life, combined with inconsistent income made for an extremely challenging time but I was so blessed to have the support of family, friends and my real estate colleague is to get us through. I am proud to say we got through it but the journey is never over. We go to monthly checkups to make sure she is still in remission. When you pause your business, it’s as if you are starting all over again which is also a major challenge but the same determination to get us through my daughter’s cancer journey I am applying to my business.

I am an agent with America One Luxury Real Estate. I specialize in luxury real estate and have been involved in assisting in the financing of several fixes and flips throughout the valley. I am proud to be working alongside driven and motivating agents. I feel we are stronger together and when you combine the resources, the opportunity is endless.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Exploring a listing lead that started with a handwritten note. If you push yourself to go after your business and do things that scare you or make you feel uncomfortable, you will see results.
