Hi Ashley , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Ashley Cushman. I first started doing social media when I was in college. I was posting at least 3 to 4 times a day on TikTok just for fun!! I grew my first TikTok page to 400,000 in one year. At this time, I didn’t know anything about making money on social media. I was just a student in college doing it for fun.

Getting millions of views and eventually started to run colleges, barstool, social media accounts!! Fell in love with creation in this definitely sparked my social media career.

I went to school for sports medicine. I was going to get my bachelors of science, but decided to drop out last year because I wanted to pursue Social media and see where it would take me. I knew there was no limit with how much I could achieve.

Since since 2021, I have been self-employed and a full-time content creator and freelance model. I even started my own Swimwear brand called CCX Swimwear. My first collection launched in 2022. It’s a polished satin bikini.

And I also own angels envy talent agency that manages other models and influencers in the industry who are looking to to th same kind of work that I do

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Nothing about this journey has been easy. I’ve spent countless hours creating content, staying up late into the night and waking up early, pushing myself to keep up with the demands of this industry. There were days when I had to fly to different states for fashion shows, events, and to collaborate with other influencers. Building my brand and my presence in the modeling and social media world has required constant travel, networking, and staying on top of trends.

Collaborating with other creators, managing partnerships, and maintaining the quality of my content took a lot more than I ever expected. Being an influencer and a model on social media isn’t just about looking good online—it’s about being consistent, strategic, and constantly adapting. There’s no time off when you’re building a personal brand. It takes a lot of dedication and resilience, but the hard work does pay off in the long run.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I spend most of my time creating content for my social media platforms, including YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok. My focus is on sharing content about my daily life, what I have going on, success, hard work, and luxury, which resonates with my followers. The other half of my time is dedicated to running my businesses—my swimwear brand, CCX Swimwear, and my talent agency, Angels Envy Talent Management, where I help models and influencers build their own brands and careers.

I specialize in content creation, brand partnerships, and business development within the social media space.

I’ love to inspire others to push their limits and dream big through my content, and I’m proud of how I’ve been able to turn my passions into successful ventures.

What sets me apart from others is my relentless dedication to my craft. I’ve managed to balance content creation with entrepreneurship while staying true to my personal brand. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve built everything from the ground up through hard work, creativity, and a strong belief that there are no limits to what I can achieve.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has played an interesting role in my life and business. I started blowing up on TikTok during the Covid pandemic, which was a time when everyone was spending more time on their phones. I recognized this as a huge opportunity and definitely used that time to focus on growing my career in social media, knowing that people were more engaged online than ever before.

While I believe timing played a part in my initial success, I also think it was about taking full advantage of the moment. I worked incredibly hard to consistently create content, staying up late to make sure I was posting at the right times and staying relevant. It wasn’t just luck; it was about recognizing an opportunity and dedicating myself to it.

Of course, there have been moments of bad luck, challenges, and setbacks along the way. But I’ve always believed that it’s not just about the luck you have—it’s about how you respond to it. Whether things are going well or not, I’ve stayed focused, knowing that hard work will always carry me through.
