Meet Ann Ossanna of Allure Skin and Laser in Southeast valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ann Ossanna.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ann. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our family moved west from upstate New York and opened a medical practice in Queen Creek. Patients were asking about aesthetic services such as laser hair removal, microderms, etc. After a lot of due diligence to find a place to refer them to we decided to do it ourselves as we envisioned: a place anyone can go and feel comfortable, get accurate info and get treatment and products in a medically supervised environment that are safe and results oriented. No sales people, just skin care pros, ready to answer questions, and share our passion of skincare and medical aesthetics in general. No contracts, just results. We truly have something for everybody at all price points from the person that wants to go all in to someone who wants to take it slow.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall it’s been great. Loving what you do and loving where you work and the people you work with and patients you serve is the best. We opened in 2008. The economy wasn’t the best but we made it work. A lot of word of mouth. We wanted to offer the newest treatments right away and connected with a great laser company, we have since been able to replace our equipment with newest a] most current versions.

Please tell us about Allure Skin and Laser.
We have a passion for skincare products and treatments to improve all kinds of skin concerns from aging to sun damage to acne scars even surgical scars. Everything we do is non-invasive with little to no downtime, maybe a little social downtime as we like to say. That includes laser and IPL (intense pulsed light) for photo facials, laser hair removal, non-ablative resurfacing, Ultherapy, and we recently added micro needling. There’s also lots of different chemical peels and more. We take a customized approach with everyone keeping their goals in mind and recommending what will work for them. We also offer Botox, Juvederm, Kybella, and sell medical grade skincare from Obagi Medical, SkinMedica, EltaMD and Colorescience. We launched our own private label skin care a couple years ago. What really separated us is we have a board certified MD that is on site as our medical director with a background in pharmacy. Ours is the only medspa he supervises. He is available to talk with patients, review charts etc. Also, every treatment we choose to bring into the office has to produce results; nothing that’s just “fluff”. I like to be involved in the local community and have sponsored school events and youth sports, especially baseball.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Given the economic conditions of the time, I would have started a little slower and been a little more patient and conservative with the business projections.
