Meet Ann Albers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ann Albers.

Ann, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Talking to angels isn’t what I thought I’d do when I grew up…

Nonetheless, the seeds of my future were sown in early childhood. I decided in first grade, I’d be a writer after entertaining the class with a story I’d written. I played “teacher” with my younger brother being the only student. I talked to invisible friends…

Those thoughts were all but forgotten as I grew up in a culture of science, math, and rational thought. My dad is a research physicist who still lectures around the world. My mom excels with numbers. For fun, I read books on how the brain works, learned how to grow crystals and became fascinated with dreams.

It wasn’t until my senior year in high school, being one of the few sober girls at a party and talking with a cute guy whose dad was a neurosurgeon, that I had an epiphany about my future. I’d go to med school, become a neuro-surgeon and do research to “unlock the mysteries of human consciousness!” Seriously. Those were my words.

I entered the pre-med program at the University of Notre Dame, where I discovered I’d be in med school an additional eight years after my initial college experience before I even got to work as a doctor, let alone do research. That didn’t compute with my idea of the ideal future in which I worked, had a family, and a life. What to do? Thinking as I usually did, I followed the wild train of thoughts in my head. Brain. Electricity. Electrical Engineering… That would work! I switched majors.

Years later looking back, I realized that I had done everything in my life “right” and I still wasn’t happy. I graduated from the Univesity of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in electrical engineering/computer concentration. I got married, got a great job, and worked in the avionics industry for eight years. Finally, I had to admit that I wasn’t in love with my life. In fact, I was miserable.

I felt like my “real” life was out there, somewhere, just waiting for me to figure it out. The problem was, I didn’t have a clue what that was.

I felt completely lost.

I started to pray. “Dear God, Whoever, whatever you are, please… Help me wake up happy, go to bed grateful, & make a living doing something I love.”

My prayer was the key that opened the door to a whole new life.

• I started to experience dreams and coincidences.
• Teachers and healers appeared.
• I learned the language of silence and to discern the rich tapestry of signs & symbols.
• I started receiving messages from my angels…
• …and began to enjoy the mystical world of energy.

In the words of Joseph Campbell, “We must be willing to give up the life we’ve planned, so as to have the one that is waiting for us.”

To make a long story short, my first teacher pushed me out in public. I did readings at a local bookstore and taught small classes. When the bookstore closed, I took the leap into self-employment and taught classes that rapidly gained popularity.

I’ve now talked to angels on behalf of my dear clients for over 22 years. I’ve taught among some of the foremost spiritual authors of our time at conferences such as Celebrate Your life, The International Association for Near Death Studies, The Afterlife Research and Education Institute, and the Association for Spiritual and Consciousness Studies. I’ve been on international radio shows, such as Coast to Coast AM and others, and have articles reprinted all over the web and all over the world.

In the past decade, I stumbled into an ability to surrender to an energy that has catalyzed miracles for many and now do free monthly “gazes” or energy transmissions via facebook.

My free weekly newsletter, “Messages from Ann & the Angels” has come out every weekend since fall of 2001, and reaches an international group interested in angels and living a more loving life.

I’ve written several books including “Love is the River: Learning to Live in the Flow of Divine Grace,” “Whispers of the Spirit,” and “Bridging the Gap Between Christianity & Mysticism, have angel meditations, and classes on CD | MP3 on my online store, and I teach two classes a year in beautiful Sedona, AZ.

It is my joy to share all I’ve learned so you too can live a life beyond your wildest dreams… and so we collectively can create a more heavenly experience here on earth! While I’m so booked ahead it is hard to get new people in for readings, I offer as many free resources as possible and have great referrals to help people connect with the angels, their loved ones, and most importantly their own beautiful soul.

Has it been a smooth road?
My path has been completely guided, although not always easy. When it was time for me to do readings in public, a teacher pushed me to interview at a local bookstore. When it was time for me to become self-employed, the bookstore closed and I had to, out of necessity. When it was time to teach, I became sick and only had the strength to read one book that inspired my first class!

The real challenges were not so much related to starting and maintaining a business – that was just a lot of work to be accomplished. Instead, learning to set aside my ego enough to purely convey the angels messages was work. Learning to share my personal life and be vulnerable in public via my newsletters before that was “the way to market” was a challenge. Learning to love those who hate and attack me for my beliefs was big growth as well.

However, looking back I am grateful for every single challenge that I had to overcome. I now know the bliss of having a loving and constant connection with Higher power and the angels and I have learned to see the light and goodness in people whether they show it to me or not. It is a joy to live this way and be able to teach others as well!

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I do “Angel Readings” in which I talk to guardian angels and deceased relatives. The wait list is very long for new clients so I have also been able to refer others with extraordinary gifts and help them share their talents with the world.

I love teaching spiritual classes so people who don’t feel “gifted” can discover they truly are. I teach people how to connect with their angels, how to manifest, self-love, living in the flow of grace, and much more. Twice a year I have in person playshops in Sedona, AZ, and the rest of the time I have my classes available on my website via download or CD.

I am most proud of being able to help thousands of people over the years find the gifts in challenging life situations, create relationships with their angels and loved ones in spirit, and for being a beacon of love, light, and higher wisdom in a world, that right now seems so divisive in many ways.

What sets me apart from others? I find that question funny because my entire life is dedicated to helping us experience ourselves as part of One! We always love to ask about the support network – have there been people, perhaps mentors or advisors, who have played a big role in your success?
It takes a village to create any one of us in public. I can credit family, friends, teachers, mentors and all are listed on my website. I have never had business mentors, but I have had many spiritual mentors. Among them is an angel that comes through my friend Summer Bacon (https://www.summerbacon.com) who always helps me find the love in any situation no matter how challenging!

I enjoy the work of various energy transmitters and saints who help raise the vibration of those whose lives they touch. Among these are Amma Karunamayi who gives yearly blessings, Abdy, who transmits a light that expands people’s gifts and abilities, Braco, a man from Croatia whose silent gaze ignited my own abilities to transmit an energy that sometimes catalyzes miracles and who has catalyzed thousands himself via his free online live streams.

I have studied with shamans, spiritual teachers, and more. My very first spiritual teacher, Jessica Osborn is responsible for taking a stubborn, type-A, analytical engineer (me) and turning me into a wannabe mystic. It took years before her wisdom fully rooted in my soul.

Most of all my angels, guides in spirit, Jesus and other masters teach me all I need to know. Years ago, I was praying to Jesus (I grew up Catholic), asking him to please help me figure out how to get my family to understand me. He appeared in a blinding, beautiful vision and said, “Stop trying to get them to understand you. Stop trying to get them to understand your beliefs. They will understand your life.” That was a game-changer that I live by to this day.
