Hi Angela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
BarkAndBooty Poop Scooper began when I was looking for a way to help people, along with my passion for caring for dogs. I have always been passionate about helping others and am a dog advocate. I wanted to deepen both passions and combine them somehow. I started thinking about what services I could provide to dog owners that allowed me to work with humans and paws alike. One evening, my partner and I were brainstorming, and BarkAndBooty came to be! Providing dog poop pickup with purpose and a service where I can directly engage with clients and paws alike is awesome!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting BarkAndBooty was an endeavor to learn how to run a small business. From not knowing one bit about how to start a business, My partner and I worked on creating a system that allowed us to create a smooth onboarding system that is easy to use from beginning to end. Working through the lens of what we would want to see as an everyday client helped shape BarkAndBooty. As situations have come up, we have tackled them through clear communication. It has allowed for clarification and space for both parties to express themselves. I am most proud of being able to start my own business and service the clients I do! They are truly thankful for the service and their pets, too.

I live, shop, and call the Arizona home, just like you. Everything is done in-house by someone who knows you, your dogs, and your yard.
