Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Villa.
Andrea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The subject of Health and Wellness has been an interest of mine since I was a little girl. I knew that one day I would have the opportunity to help others. Thanks to this social media platform, I am now able to do that. Being a Hispanic woman, with the types of food my culture has, and with the many diseases that are prevalent among Mexican/Mexican-Americans (Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, etc.) I chose to live a healthier lifestyle to not only try to avoid such diseases but to be the best version of myself for my kids. With all that being said, I wanted to share my wisdom and be intentional about helping others. On my page you’ll find meal ideas, daily motivational quotes, life hack tips, and daily exercises.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
In all honesty, one of the struggles I had was initially getting started. I knew I wanted to help others but I had to figure out the “how,” and what exactly I wanted to offer others. Like many other people on social media, it has not been an easy road. There was also a lot of doubt and fear about getting my information out there and really making an impact on people. Personally, I struggled with a flux in my body composition and fitness due to having children and kind of losing my way nutritionally. Like I tell others, it’s all about having a positive mindset and pushing through. Our mindset is the one thing that will help us succeed, and also the one thing that can hold us back!
Please tell us about your organization.
My Ultimate goal is to provide people with good information on fitness & overall health. With the information provided to them, I hope that it will encourage them to be the best version of themselves. I offer guidance through fitness goals, nutritional information, meal ideas, and daily workouts. I set myself apart because at the moment what I’m doing is truly non-profit. I strive to help others and give out free information that in some cases people wouldn’t get without emptying their wallets. I am really proud of the genuine desire I feel from my followers to learn more and grow. Which in return lights a fire in me, motivating me to come up with new projects for them.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is not defined by just one thing. A quote that I live by is “Success does not come from something you do occasionally. Success comes from something you do consistently.” It is liking yourself & who you are becoming, liking what you do, and how you do it. I know I’m doing a good job when I see a lot of my followers making a huge progress in their fitness journey based on some of the tools I provided. some markers I look out for are as follows:
1. Self-awareness; knowing your strengths and weaknesses.
2. Making a very well detailed plan.
3. Consistency; everyone has the occasional “bump in the road.” there is nothing wrong with that. The important thing, is that you continue to get back up and continue what you’ve started.
4. accountability; consistency is key right? so what better way to have accountability than to either have a health coach, a workout buddy, or simply just posting about it everyday. Be your best self everyday, and simply show up!
