Meet Andrea Tuck of A Bakeshop in Central Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Tuck.

Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Growing up in an Italian family is what truly inspired me to become a bakery owner! The shop offers old recipes from my grandmother, like our Sicilian Cheesecake and Ricotta Cookies to new trendy items like Parisian Macarons! We also pride ourselves in providing Phoenix with some of the most delicious and stunning wedding cakes in the Valley! Our motto here at the shop is to -Be Fresh-

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road of bakery life has been both smooth and bumpy! I had my son a year and a half ago and it has been a bit of a challenge to balance both bakery life and motherhood! But all and all I’m loving my journey.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We truly pride ourselves in delivering delicious fresh treats that also can be too beautiful to eat! My main goal in opening the shop was to deliver both the taste and design of desserts. This is what I’m most proud of and what I honestly believe sets me apart from my competitors.

What were you like growing up?
My personality was a bit shy yet with a very strong will. Just like my Italian mother! My interests were dancing, cooking and baking.
