Meet Andrea Bunney of Bunney Design in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Bunney.

Andrea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started producing art in art class in grade school, then later chose to take an art class in high school. I enjoyed other subjects, art was just one of the ones I enjoyed. I made my art and thought I would just maybe be super talented someday and everything would be alright financially with faith and skill. My family and friends thought I did a good job. I received awards for my pieces. I started handing out my pieces for free in high school and then started selling my pieces after high school in 2013. I was told to keep my art as a hobby because being an artist is an unpredictable kind of career. It is not until now where I see an opportunity to make it a business by the start of the year 2020. I want to name my business Bunney Design because it reminds me of my “Bunney” family and the Bunney heritage and “design” because it reminds me of how God designed me, His daughter. I didn’t add the “s” at the end of the word ‘design” to make it designs because it just reminds me of God more and his ultimate design for my designs.

I make my pieces reflect everything well if at all humanly possible, being unique with my talent. I don’t see a pattern yet with my art because I haven’t developed my pattern. I think I would rather it to be special and I’ll figure out my “pattern” later.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a smooth road. 🙂

Please tell us about your company.
The company that I am about to start, is where I produce art products. I need to develop my products and direction for my trade. So, it is yet to be determined. I have paintings and another home decor that I have to decide what direction of art I will be going to. I am at a turning point in my trade.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have prayed first about everything we do.
