Meet Ana Melikian of AMAZE Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Melikian.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m Ana Melikian, the host of the MINDSET ZONE podcast and the CEO of AMAZE Coaching LLC. I love to help service-based businesses grow. I have a soft spot in my heart for self-employed professionals who are great at what they do, yet hate to market and sell.

I do my best work with people who are purpose-driven, creative, self-aware, lifelong learners, and determined to walk their talk. I also passionate about speaking to organizations who know how important it is to foster a culture of personal growth. I have a lovely accent.

I was born in Portugal and lived in Europe until 2003. While there, I spent much of my time in academia where I received two masters in psychotherapy (in Spain), a Ph.D. in Psychology (in England), lectured at a Private University (in Portugal) and traveled to conferences and workshops every opportunity I had.

I love to travel, and on one of my trips to the United States, I met my life partner. That is the main reason I picked Phoenix, Arizona as my home, where I live now with my husband James and daughter Isabella. My experience in academia taught me how to teach people effectively with metaphors and images. This helps me explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable way.

From Psychotherapy, I transitioned to Life Coaching and decided to build an online business to create positive change. I quickly realized that I was a needle in a haystack, and knew that if other “needles” were seen and successful, I could learn how they did it and do it myself. So, I started to study online marketing. I learned what worked and didn’t work. I began to help others take their business online. I understood the importance of working on mindsets in order to succeed.

I then realized that I had found my passion – explore the mindset zone to expand possibilities!!!

Because I’m a lifelong learner myself, I decided to learn from the best. I enrolled to study with Michael Port, the NY Times Best Selling author and creator of Book Yourself Solid®. I also had the opportunity to work with Matthew Kimberley, the Head of the Book Yourself Solid® School of Coach Training.

Now, I’m an Elite-Level Book Yourself Solid® Certified Coach, as well as, a Board Certified Coach (BCC), a Certified Life Coach (CLC), and a 12 Week Year Certified Trainer – what can I say, I come from academia and love to learn new stuff in order to help my clients. You may call me a “collector” of certifications.

I’m also the creator and host of the MINDSET ZONE podcast that is featured in The Huffington Post “15 Podcasts That Will Leave You Pondering Life’s Big Questions,” and during its launch, reached #1 in iTunes’ New & Noteworthy in Business, Management & Marketing, Health, Self-Help, Education, and Training.

MINDSET ZONE podcast has over 400 THOUSAND downloads! In 2015, I co-founded the More Clients More Fun, where we developed leading-edge LinkedIn strategies for business development to land high-value clients.

It has been an incredible journey! We have delivered training to over 10,000 business owners in six continents, and worked with over 250 training and coaching companies and organizations including Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching®, The Ken Blanchard Companies®, Book Yourself Solid®, The Corporate Agent®, and the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches® – ACEC.

In 2018, I launched AMAZE Zone–4X Your Success training program, the place to be if you want to have 4X as much time, 4X more focus, 4X more results, and 4X more impact!

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting over several times. From my Psychology background, I had to reinvent myself when I move to Phoenix from Portugal. After getting certified as a life coach I realized that t survive as a business I had to learn how to market and sell. From there, I started learning and become a business coach. In 2016 I was dignosed with breast cancer, and I had to find ways to keep growing my business while working less.

Online business that focuses in helping coaches and consults grow their businesses, even if they hate marketing and selling.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
My business is mainly online, but I love to be in Phoenix since many of the big names of online marketing do bog events here. Good examples will be, Jeff Walker and Brandon Burchard. Also here is the place where the National Speakers Association -NSA- started, and there are many incredible speakers to learn from here in the valley,
