Meet Amanda Williams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Williams.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am the owner of Hello Gorgeous by Amanda. I have been in business for about 18 months and it has been quite the ride! I knew nothing about make up or skincare before starting this business. I hardly even wore make up! The company I partnered with, Younique, was one I had heard of through friends and family. I tried their products and really loved the quality of them! When I began to see more of the culture of the company I was very drawn to their mission which is to uplift, empower and validate women all over the world. Just being a fly on the wall observing the women connected to this company I felt empowered to join them and make a difference.

I joined them in December of 2016. I had a one-year old daughter and had been feeling very lost. I previously had worked in management for many years and found much of my purpose in going to work and being part of the corporate world. I was having a difficult time accepting my role as a stay at home mother. I felt disconnected from life and just stuck.

The community that I gained with I joined Younique’s mission and started my own business is invaluable. I began sharing my story and our products along with the mission of the company and women responded in massive numbers! I quickly promoted through the company and within four months had reached the top 2% of the company. Younique has refreshed me and gave me the validation I needed during that season in my life. Since I began representing them and running my own business I feel more confident than ever and know for a fact that I can accomplish anything I sent my mind to. Since joining I have promoted 4 times, earned two paid for vacations for me and my husband and been able to financially contribute to my family while also blessing others through giving!

My heart for this business has never been to see myself succeed and to run off into the sunset with riches and glory. It is really about the mission. As I succeed that just allows me to uplift, empower and validate more and more women to know that they can be more than what they can see at this moment. For the new mom who has lost herself, the wife who is insecure, the mom who just lost her child and doesn’t know where to turn, for the woman who is looking for a second act or maybe even a fresh start. This company provides the opportunity for all and I am proud to be a part of it!

Please tell us about your art.
I provide make up and skin care through a company called Younique. We are European Union certified which means our ingredients are top of the line. We do not test on animals and the company was founded to fund an organization called the Younique Foundation. The Younique Foundation was started to help survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The foundation is the heart of our company and we work diligently to spread their mission all over the globe by sharing our company via social media.

We sell make up and skin care but the products are truly a vehicle for the hope to be shared as we reach more and more people with the message about the Younique Foundation.

I hope that women feel inspired by me and my business and that they in turn feel that they can take their next step in life, whatever that may be. It could be trying out a bold red lip because she has always been afraid to, it could be to start her own business or it could be to seek help in her journey of recovery. Whatever that step is I hope that my business allows women to know they can be strong and be the best version of themselves they can be!

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I think there is so much opportunity for business owners and artists! So many people are open to learning new things and appreciating other people’s vision. The best thing our city can do is to keep giving artists and business owners a platform to share their work!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My business can be viewed mainly on social media. My website is www.HelloGorgeousByAmanda.com and my Instagram is @HelloGorgeousByAmanda. I operate mainly on Facebook and IG. My Facebook tag is @AEWilliamsAZ.

People can support my work by following me on those social media outlets and participating in my posts and live videos. Sharing my lives would be a great way to support me! They can also support my work by hosting an online event which allows me to reach more people that I normally may not come in contact with! It is super fun and I do all the work! There are even freebies involved =)

People can also support my work by allowing me to do a beauty consultation with them. This allows me a chance to have some one on one time with them to answer their beauty questions and help them find things that make them feel confident and beautiful! And of course to then share it with their friends! =)
