Meet Amanda Reifert of Ahwatukee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Reifert

Hi Amanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a little girl, I was always in costume. Year-round, you’d find me dressing up as Disney princesses, Toy Story characters, superheroes, and so much more. I loved dressing up, and I LOVED being the center of attention. Having my picture taken was one of my favorite things!

When I was 16, I had my first professional photoshoot modeling clothes for my mom’s boutique, Clothes Minded. I continued modeling for Clothes Minded for the next decade; this was when I truly fell in love with modeling. Getting dressed up, doing my hair and makeup, driving all over town hunting for the best backdrops…it all was so much fun!

Since then, I’ve worked with other local businesses, modeling for their marketing pieces and social media pages. I’m a signed artist with Contagion Media, and I’ve been featured on the cover of Malvie magazine!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I consider myself to be a curvy model and not a “plus-sized” model because my body represents the average American woman better than the bodies of most well-known models. Being a curvy model is certainly not easy, though. There are so many people in the world who won’t work with models whose measurements differ from stereotypical prerequisites.

Society is slowly starting to recognize the value and beauty in curvy models. My goal is to provide an accurate representation of women’s bodies in the world of modeling, and to be an inspiration to girls who struggle with body positivity!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Through my agency, I offer catalogue, commercial, editorial, fashion, boudoir, and implied nudity modeling services. I don’t have a specialty per se, but I have the most experience doing commercial modeling. I’m open to trying new things and exploring different avenues of expression. I consider my work to be an adventure!

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Beauty truly does come from within. If we don’t take care of our physical and mental health, we’ll never be able to look our best.
