Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Gitt.

Melissa, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been a total girlie girl, whose obsessed with fashion and beauty products. Anytime I go to a wedding or event with my closest girlfriends, they always have me do their makeup. I had the idea of starting Always Meliss early last year, and with the encouragement of my close girlfriends, I slowly started blogging and posting on Instagram. Fast forward just six months later, and I’ve grown to have over 11.8k Instagram followers and over 2500 monthly blog views. I’ve connected with some of the most incredible women and companies, and cannot wait to see what 2018 brings!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely! I think blogging is what you make of it. I’ve decided to walk into this as a hobby, and enjoy the ride through and through. The second it starts to feel like work, I need to take a step back and re-evaluate. So far so good!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Always Meliss – what should we know?
AlwaysMeliss.com is a beauty, fashion, and lifestyle blog, that aims to inspire readers to be their best selves. My goal is to express my personal style and encourage creative genius around me. Expect to see tons about beauty & hair, outfits, and fitness. I’m most proud of starting! So many people want to start a blog, but are simply to scared. I was too! I’m so proud of myself for taking the leap of faith and just doing it.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Being genuine! I believe in supporting other women in the industry and being kind throughout the process. I’m so fortunate to have come so far so quickly, and if it wasn’t for the support of other women, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I will continue to be honest and genuine in my posts, as well as lend any advise where it’s warranted!
