Meet Alinda Berry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alinda Berry.

Hi Alinda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a passion for crafts and handmade items. After COVID juristically changed the healthcare field, I decided it was time to leave and pursue my small passion.

This has opened so many doors and allowed me to network out of my comfort zone, bringing my confidence up and constant opportunities to grow as a person as well as a small business now.

I am forever thankful for this amazing community that has supported this passion and helped me to find my drive for life again.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definingly not been a smooth road but it is a very rewarding one.

Leaving healthcare was one of the hardest choices I have made. Starting from scratch, having no mentor, having to network, placing myself out of my comfort zones, and learning how to create and run a small business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Created in 2019 right before the pandemic, “CUSTOMSBYAZINAZ” has been at the bleeding edge of the American dream development, cultivating the advancement of self-progression. As a profoundly dedicated organizer, I have created standards of magnificence in structure and specialized dominance for small crafts in the East Valley. Proving no matter what challenges life has, you will persevere.

The double mission of “CUSTOMSBYAZINAZ” is to empower the creation, accumulation, and advancement of ALL THINGS being made with love.

To satisfy our main goal of spreading the love around the East Valley we are looking forward to becoming more open and involved within our community.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Networking is not about asking everyone you know for a job. As a matter of fact, when you network you should never ask someone for a job. You ask them for information that will help you in your search. Your goal is to build a relationship and establish rapport so that if a potential opportunity becomes available in the future, your contact will want to refer you.

If you want to establish rapport with another person, create ways to keep the relationship going. Ask the person if you may keep them informed of your search progress. If you read an article that pertains to a discussion you had at a networking meeting, cut it out and send it to him or her with a brief note. Try to find at least two to three opportunities yearly to reconnect with members of your network.

Building a network is about creating a genuine, caring relationship. Thank your contact for the information they have supplied and see if you can help them in some way.
