Meet Alice Vath

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alice Vath.

Hi Alice, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been studying and reading tarot since 2014. Once I started working with my tutor/mentor, I was able to expand what I offered to clients. Now, in addition to tarot readings, I offer Intuitive Counseling, Dreamwork Sessions, Development sessions, one-on-one instruction for clients learning tarot, and online courses. I’m very proud of my online courses – all courses include closed captioning for accessibility and the option to have one-on-one sessions with me over zoom. My Free Tarot Class is also online for anyone who is just curious about tarot or wants to get an idea of my teaching style. The online courses have been the perfect addition to what I offer; many of my clients are not local and can’t attend my in-person classes.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Although I’ve been reading tarot for years, I didn’t start my business until 2020. Starting a business during a pandemic was challenging, but it was the right decision for me. I had to trust that my intuition was taking me in the direction I was meant to go, and I’m so glad I did. This experience has been amazing, and I’ve grown so much in my practice and on a personal level. If there’s one thing I learned from tarot (and from life in general), smooth roads are nice, but that’s not where growth happens.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
When I’m doing readings for clients, no matter what type of session they book, intuitive counseling is involved. I help them find a central message and things to focus on to grow in the direction they want to grow. I love working with all of my clients, and one of my favorite aspects of my business is teaching classes. It is so exciting when my students start making connections for themselves and realize how their choices affect their lives. Tarot is an amazing tool for people to understand themselves on a deeper level, and seeing my students get there with my guidance is an amazing and rewarding feeling. I am self-taught and never took a tarot class, so when creating my courses, I approached them personally by asking what I would have wanted in a course. My teaching style brings everything back to what my students can learn about themselves and what will facilitate personal growth.

We’d love to hear what you think about risk-taking.
It was a big risk choosing to start a business in 2020. Even though I met most of my clients over zoom, there was a not insignificant investment to start my business. This was when I trusted my intuition to lead me in the right direction despite what may have seemed like a crazy idea from the outside. I’m so grateful I took the chance because it led me to where I am today.
