Today we’d like to introduce you to Alfred Trujillo.
Alfred, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The internet allowed me to get in touch with a community of artists that helped me hone my art to a professional level. I was published by independent publishers and started my own company and started working full time in art. I was fortunate to have my wife join the studio as well. We travel, make books, do commissions together.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Working for yourself is not without challenges. A lot of planning takes place to make sure we have inventory, orders, emails, payments, etc. are accounted for in addition to creating art, costumes, photography.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
We specialize in superhero comic style art and cosplay. I find that what is special about us is that we still base the majority of our art on traditional mediums. We also make a series of cosplay photobooks which are still not commonplace amongst that community.
What were you like growing up?
I always loved art and music! Spent all my time drawing and writing songs.
