Meet Alexis Mansperger

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Mansperger.

Alexis, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up doing competitive cheerleading and fell in love with learning to move my body in new ways. During my time cheerleading, I went on to win a few national championship titles and medaled silver and bronze at the World Championships. After my competitive career, I went on to cheer in college at The University of Louisville and Arizona State. During my time at Arizona State, I studied Exercise and Wellness. After graduating in 2016, I went right into my first job as a personal trainer at a small gym in Tempe.

After two years I decided to take a break from personal training to pursue teaching group fitness. Starting out at the front desk at The Madison, I eventually became a Party On A Bike instructor as well as a Yoga Sculpt instructor and even went on to become a full-time manager and lead teacher training. I quickly learned I had a serious love and passion for teaching group fitness as it reminded me of my cheerleading past. I now had a new creative outlet to play my favorite music, let out all my crazy dance moves and spread positivity while motivating the community.

Now I am pursuing a full-time career in the fitness industry: leading group classes and personal training. You can currently catch me teaching Party On A Bike at The Madison Tempe, Yoga Sculpt at The Madison Improvement Club and leading boot camps and personal training sessions at Anato-me Gym in Arcadia.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One thing I like to say in my classes is: Nothing worth having comes easy. So no, it hasn’t been a smooth road but I believe that’s what teaches you lessons and helps you grow as a person. I’m a pretty private person when it comes to my personal life but with each struggle, I’ve been through I have learned so much about myself and what I want out of life. I am grateful for every experience I’ve had along the way because whether I succeeded or not I have gained valuable knowledge along the way. Trust the process!

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I currently am working at three different studios/gyms: At The Madison Tempe, I teach Party On A Bike! It’s a 5o minute indoor cycling class, but 1 minute in you’ll forget you are working out. There are crazy light shows, loud music and of course me cheering you on! I think what sets my cycling class apart from others is the amount of energy I bring to every class. You can always expect to leave my class with a smile!

At The Madison Improvement Club, I teach Yoga Sculpt! Here is where I feel my knowledge of the human body and how it works shines. In Yoga Sculpt you’ll get a full-body workout that includes: strength, cardio, and stretch. The best part is that the entire class is music-based, so you’ll be bumpin’ the weights to the beat! Oh, and it’s heated so you’ll be sure to work up a sweat!

At Anato-me, I coach boot camp classes and do personal training! The boot camp classes are a 45-minute HITT style workout. Each day the workout is completely different, but one thing you’ll be sure of is you will leave feeling pumped up! In my personal training sessions, you can expect to get a complete workout customized to your personal needs. My goal for all of my clients is to feel confident and comfortable going into the gym on their own. You will be sure to leave each session learning something new and feeling strong.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success= Happiness
Success is going to look different for everyone. What makes me feel the happiest is helping other people. I feel successful after leaving a class or a training session and seeing someone feel good about themselves!
