Meet Alexandra Robinson of The Dough Darlin”

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Robinson.

Hi Alexandra , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My baking journey started back in college when I worked as a baker, and instantly fell in love with it. After earning my degree in Global Agribusiness, I spent four years teaching high school agriscience before becoming a mom to my sweet girl, Kennedy.

When she was born, I wanted to be home with her while still finding a way to help support our family. Baking had always been my happy place, and when I got pregnant, I completely fell in love with sourdough. That’s when The Dough Darlin’ came to life. Born out of flour, and a whole lot of love.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Baking has always been close to my heart. I love turning simple ingredients into something beautiful and meaningful , little creations that help make someone’s dream or celebration extra special.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a cottage baker with a passion for all things sourdough ,and more recently, custom cookies for birthdays, weddings, and every special celebration in between. I love getting to know my customers and turning their dessert dreams into something sweet and memorable. What I’m most proud of is being able to stay home with my daughter while providing for my family. Doing what I love makes every day a little brighter (and a lot more fun)!

How do you think about luck?
Luck has definitely played a part in my bakery journey, both the good and the challenging kind. There have been moments that felt like setbacks, but they often led me exactly where I needed to be. From stumbling into sourdough at just the right time to meeting incredible customers who’ve supported my small business, I’ve learned that a little bit of luck combined with a lot of faith, hard work, and love can take you far.
