Meet Alexander Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Jackson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Alexander. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am 21 years old and I am a model, dancer, and actor. As a kid, I grew up playing sports. Basketball, football, track, you name it. During my early high school years, I discovered my true passion in life, which is dancing. I quit the sports and started training professionally as a dancer which soon enough, actually took me to my first fashion show. A friend of mine in the company told me about a designer from the Philippines who was bringing their line to America for the first time and needed male models. I got casted for his runway show and after that night modeling for John Ablaza, I had absolutely found another passion. Three years later, I have had the incredible opportunity to be in Phoenix Fashion Week Top 40 model search twice, I have done countless collaborations with talented designers and photographers, I have worked in LAFW, PHXFW, LVFW, AZFW, and am now starting to branch out and expand heavily into the Los Angeles fashion scene. It takes a lot to stay busy in the modeling world. Constant runway practice, a healthy diet, tough workouts 4-5 a week, and an optimistic mindset help me stay successful in this industry. I am so grateful for all the amazing experiences the fashion industry has brought me and I cannot wait for my future, and all the new opportunities to come.

Has it been a smooth road?
When I first got into modeling, I was obsessed with comparing myself to other models in the industry. Ones that maybe had more muscle, better skin, or different features than I had. It was a struggle at the beginning for me to inspire personal growth because I wanted to be like other models. Now, over time, I have come into my own in this industry. I recognize the value of individuality and the beauty of my own unique features and once I stopped comparing and started focusing on me, my growth in the industry has been life-changing.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
I am a model, professionally trained dancer, actor, and brand ambassador. For work, I participate in fashion shows around the country, photo shoots, and other collaborations. I also am an ambassador for many brands around the globe both in store and online. Aside from that, I also am an entertainer for many music festivals. I would say I am most proud of making it to the top 6 in Phoenix Fashion Week Top 40 model search. I am also very proud to have gotten to spend a month traveling through Europe with my dance company sharing our passion with six beautiful and amazingly different countries. Although, I’d have to say I am most proud of the connections I have made in the fashion industry, all the incredible friends, influences, and talented artist that I have been able to connect with through my work. Lastly, what I believe sets me apart in the industry is my unique look, my optimistic attitude, and my dedication to my craft. I’m different because I work at my passion 24/7 and am always trying to improve myself.

When you look back, what are you most proud of?
The proudest moment of my career so far was getting to dance a solo performance in front of hundreds of top stylists, influencers, models, and fashion fans during the closing show of Phoenix Fashion Week Top 40 2018.
