Meet Aisha Sanders

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Aisha Sanders. Aisha was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Lauren Linden.

Aisha , thank you so much for joining us today. We’d love for you to bring our readers up to speed – can you introduce yourself and share your story?
I’m the Founder and President of Teach to Reach Inc. (TTR), a nonprofit organization created for inner city youth that promotes Education, Respect and Self-Awareness, I have always enjoyed public service work and giving back, especially to kids that live in inner cities. As a product of the inner city (Cleveland, Ohio) I figured who better to help guide and motivate our kids to reach their fullest potential than me, someone who can relate to challenges they endure as a result of the area in which they live. Running a nonprofit has it’s highs and lows like other companies and some days are a lot harder than others but I honestly wouldn’t trade places with anyone! I love everything TTR stands for and the vision we have for the future.

We’ve heard great things about your organization. For our readers who might not be as familiar, can you please tell them about the organization?
TTR adopted several Atlanta Public City School Teachers during the 2019-2020 school year and provided them all new classroom furniture and supplies. We also provided dinner to 4 families w/children every Friday throughout the Pandemic. Our biggest initiative was our collaboration with Necco Foster Agency in December of 2020. Through this partnership we were able to sponsor 33 foster children and provide them with gifts from their Wishlist. We were working on implementing a Tutor and Mentoring program prior to Covid-19 but had to put that on pause, so now we are aiming for a 4th quarter launch even if it’s virtually. I’m most proud of the tenacity and determination we have displayed over the past year and a half. It’s already challenging being a small nonprofit so adding in a Pandemic really forced us to find creative ways to stay engaging while still providing assistance to our children and their families. No matter how hard our days were we never forgot our “why”.

As a small business owner I have no idea how Lauren manages to keep track of her inventory, answers questions via email and/or social media direct messages, update her website while shipping orders out before you can hit ‘submit’, but she does it effectively. Her policies are clear and her delivery is always professional and respectful. If there is an issue with your order such as a delay with delivery she’s very proactive with communicating that with her customers. No matter where you’re from or how much money you spend when you shop with FashionLola Boutique you know for sure that your time and money are greatly appreciated.
