Today we’d like to introduce you to Ade Adeniran.
Ade, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My true story starts in a cubicle of a Fortune 500 company where an ambitious hardworking immigrant raised child realized, that he had stopped giving 100% and it was time to move onto the next chapter of my life, where I could live up to my full potential.
To be honest all my life I’ve always felt like my “purpose” was to help others and impact people’s lives in any way I can. I wasn’t able to do that in any sports I had played throughout my life or the job I was currently working. It was two of my best friends/coworkers that pointed out to me that I should be putting my energy towards the only thing I talked about 24/7, fitness. I did my due diligence and began studying, researching and learning about the fitness world.
Day in and day out reading about everything from nutrition to how muscle worked in conjunction with one another until the day came where I had officially become certified as a personal trainer and was ready to leave my 9/5 job. I remember the day I left my company and thought, God please take the steering wheel in this journey because I know there will be so many bumps along the road and needless to say, there has been.
However, I can truly say I made the right decision because I wake up everyday loving what I do on a daily basis. You will usually catch me with a smile on my face and that stems from knowing I get to change people’s lives on a daily basis and am no longer confined to my cubicle.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road. Some of the struggles right away were the financial changes. As a personal trainer/ fitness entrepreneur there aren’t guaranteed paychecks, so figuring out how to pay all my bills was difficult at first.
There were times when I would question if I had made the right decision but there were always constant reminders that I had chosen the right directions to take my life.
Another struggle I had faced early on was convincing my Nigerian parents that this was the right thing to do, I was raised with the understanding that I had to be successful in law or medicine. However, I have managed to at least get them to support my decision.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about BodybyAde – what should we know?
I am a personal trainer. I have online clients, in person clients and do group and individual training. I would say I am Versatile and help clients with everything from fat loss to muscle gain to athletic performance in a specific sport.
What I’m proud of most is that I have connected myself to so many communities and types of clientele because I never want to be in a Box where I only train one type of client. What sets me apart is my genuine love of people. I try to empower every single one of my clients on a daily basis.
What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned over the course of your career?
If I could change anything along the way I maybe would have gotten some type of mentor to bounce ideas off of or questions. I always believe that once you learn more in an industry you find out there is so much more left to learn.
