Meet Abria Reece

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abria Reece.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Abria. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I first got started in the fashion industry in 2018. I had been in front of the camera my whole life due to my mom being a photographer. I was doing print work for many years until I decided to audition for a fashion show and since then I have done many shows around the valley.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely not! Working as a model in AZ, it’s harder to get work out here. Everybody now wants to do TFP (trade for print) so models are having a hard time getting paid for their work as well as the photographers who are shooting them.

Please tell us more about what you do, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
The type of modeling I do is print and runway. What I’m most proud of is how much personal success I’ve had in the last year just starting out as a model, especially being as young as I am (I’m still in high school!) I’m proud of how far I’ve come after just jumping into this industry blindly, not knowing at all what to expect and how long this would last for me. What I think sets me apart from others is my natural innate ability in front of the camera and on the runway. For me, It’s not about a career or money, but my extreme passion for the love of art and creativity. I think passion is the driving force behind everything that we do and how successful we ultimately become!

Tell us about your favorite and least favorites things about our city.
Unfortunately, the industry has become very watered down and overly saturated. What I really love about Phoenix though, is that it truly is a hotspot for talent, and that’s not limited to just models. We really do have so many amazing creatives within the industry!
