Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Schofield.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I started out in corporate sales. Where I learned so many things about myself including what I wanted and didn’t want my life to be like. After years of feeling as though I wasn’t letting myself reach maximum potential and starving my mind from its daily creative cravings, I decided to start a coffee shop from scratch.
Please tell us about your art.
My coffee shop is a rolling piece of art. A brainchild brought to life through a lot of blood sweat and beers. Late nights and hot days working on my cart with my father are memories I’ll cherish forever. The smiles that Luana’s brings to people’s faces when they see the cart remind me that I’ve created not only a business but a work of art that everyone can appreciate. It’s even become a platform now for other artist in Phoenix to showcase what they can do on our cups which we switch the art on every month with local artist.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
I believe part of being a true artist calls for some serious alone time. You have to really tap into your own mind to put out true original art. But art also can be complimented by other artists visions around you, and a good artist will hear out others around them and be impacted by someone else’s thoughts or style. Merging the two is important and connecting and being transparent with the people around you can be refreshing and inspiring always. Don’t be afraid to compliment another artist it can spark amazing friendships that could end up taking you to the next level of creating or even happiness.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
If your anywhere in Phoenix or the Glendale/Peoria area you’ll most likely catch a glimpse of us cruising around selling or some days even just giving away lattes. Any time you make a purchase from us your supporting a local entrepreneurs dream, and your money is going to be well spent again through the other small business around the Phoenix area. As pretty everything we sell and purchase is from another small local business.
