Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracey Shadley.
Hi Tracey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a professional Closet Designer. My background is with California Closets. I worked for them for almost 20 years. When I left, I was their Lead Designer and Design Trainer. I came to Sedona from Montreal 13 years ago and opened Organize A-Z. I offer custom storage solutions as well as tools and courses to help other people start a closet design business or add the skill to their existing business.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The biggest struggle was getting a Visa to come work in the US. Once I got here, I was lucky enough to meet amazing people who helped me build my business to what it is today.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an expert in closet & space design. I am old school and teach new designers “old school” ways so they can build from the basics. My favorite part of the business is the creativity and putting the puzzle pieces of a great design together.
As another outlet for my creative brain, I have published a couple of books (A Mirror in Your Closet: Tips and Tricks From the Inside and Coco’s Closet). Both are available on Amazon.
I have a couple more books in the works.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have to give credit to California Closets Montreal for all their training & support. They certainly did not want me to leave them but are excited about what I have built for myself.
