Life & Work with Thomas Aeschleman of Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Thomas Aeschleman

Hi Thomas, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve freelanced on the side for about 10 years, dabbling in photo, video and graphic design. I even considered a totally different direction, having gone to school for Biblical Studies. In 2020-2021, I was working a marketing job I disliked. I eventually quit that job and moved to Phoenix with my wife for her work. This was an opportunity for me to consider jumping into freelance full time. I started a creative agency called Rose and Rich Studios which I have been running ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I wouldn’t consider it a smooth road but then again, starting a business is never without it’s challenges. Self doubt is an obstacle, especially in the creative world where you are passionate about the things you are making. There is a balance to strike between being an artist and business owner.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
For my agency, we focus mostly on e-commerce product and branding videos. I’m proud of the visuals we have created, taking them from concept to production to help businesses grow. We try to focus most on the emotion our visuals evoke, which I think sets us apart.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Phoenix for the amount of activities and events we have year round, including easy access to hiking and the outdoors. My biggest gripe is the city planning and building designs that have made it un-walkable in most areas.
