Today we’d like to introduce you to Scotty Scheller.
Hi Scotty, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’d love to! I’ve been blessed enough to experiment over the years in many different businesses and ultimately build where I’m at today. I’m nowhere near where I want to be, and if you ask me in a year, I’m sure my life and business will look completely different. I started in the self-development space, which led to lifestyle optimization, which in short, means taking a look at all aspects of life and putting together a plan to make sure they’re all running in synergy. I found that when I was helping others with just one aspect, let’s say, nutrition and health. They’d put so much focus on that that something else would slip, such as relationships or finances. I think too many people go way too hard into one avenue and then start to slip into others, and when they catch the others slipping, they jump ship on what they were working so hard on to keep the others afloat.
I’m more about creating systems that keep everything in harmony and constantly checking in to ensure we’re moving forward toward the goal. At the end of the day, it’s accountability overall that I see most of my clients lacking. Once they have a guide and a system to follow, all it takes is someone making sure they’re doing what they say they’re doing. From that, I built a powerful secondary brand helping others create and grow their own personal brand by leveraging social media. So now I stack that skill with my clients who want to utilize their own personal brand for growth. Life is about skill stacking, and luckily I’ve been blessed with amazing mentors who I constantly learn from and incorporate that knowledge into my life as well as my clients. It’s a fun journey but I still see it as just the start
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
HA. It’s never a smooth road, and no one should ever expect it to be. The hurdles you face when you’re in charge of your own life will always be there, and the second you think you’re out of the weeds, there will be another one there to face you. It’s a blessing, though. The knowledge and grit you build with each failed idea, wrong plan, poorly planned decision, etc., can’t be bought, taught, or given to you in any other way.
I’ve made countless dumb investments, put my trust in people who shouldn’t have been trusted, and waited too long on opportunities that probably won’t come back again. But I understand that these are learning lessons, and everyone needs to go through them. And by God’s grace, I’ve made it through each hurdle, and I’m ready for the next.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m extremely proud of the person I am and the life I’ve created. I was always taught to shake every person’s hand and make it known you’re there to help. I’m humbled when people describe me as giving, and I take pride in the fact I strive daily to put others first, not only in my business but in my personal life too. I learned super young that the secret to living is giving and that to the world you might be one person, but to one person, you might be the world, so I always keep that front of mind when meeting someone new or interacting with anyone on any given day! I specialize in creative development and structure, translating into all the content I create and the brands I partner with.
I believe in order to be successful, you need to find your gift and double down on that. Steve Harvey says it perfectly when looking for your gift. “Your gift is what you’re the absolute best at with the least amount of effort” I 100% found that by living with your gift daily, you can have incredible success. But you have to develop your gift and craft it to be something tangible and that can be monetized. My gift is communication and comfort that people feel in trusting me. So I’ve honed and crafted that into a way that I can serve others and make a great life out of doing so. And seeing to the fact it’s effortless for me to do so, I rarely get burnt out. Not to mention I love what I do. It’s a fun part of my “job,” being able to help others identify their gift and start living in them.
