Life & Work with Sara Maria

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Maria. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Sara Maria is a Lifestyle Influencer, Author, and Speaker. She has always been passionate about helping others. 

Originally from VA, Sara Maria sold everything and moved across the country in 2018, when God told her to move to Arizona. 

She spent the first 9 months working at the City of Phoenix Section 8 office. It was there that she noticed the disconnect between Landlords, Tenants, and the Section 8 office, and she quit her job and opened her first business, The Landlord Liaisons. This was her first business and it connected Section 8 Landlord & Tenants together. 

In 2019, Sara Maria co-authored her first book, ‘Empowering Women to Succeed: Overcoming Obstacles. In the book, she shared her story of how she changed her mindset and the goals she was able to achieve because of it. Sara Maria is a firm believer in speaking life over yourself every day and is an advocate for Mindset and Mindfulness for self-growth. 

In 2020 Sara Maria began working as a contracted Loan Officer for the SBA, providing financial relief to small business owners during the Pandemic. 

When she first moved to Phoenix in 2018, Sara Maria intentionally sought women who were making an impact in Phoenix. 

She wanted to connect to women who were helping other women and she did just that. In the past four years, she has built an extensive network of powerful women who want to uplift other women and help them get to the next level. Known as a connector, Sara Maria was able to bring women together from different communities that were doing women’s empowerment and introduce them to each other, building that bridge and reinforcing the belief that ‘We are BETTER together”. 

Her favorite communities are ‘PowerHouse Women’, ‘IStartFirst’, and ‘The Sisterhood Extravaganza’. 

Sara Maria has a heart for Women and her God-given purpose is to empower and inspire them to live their best lives. In 2020, Sara Maria created I am Sara Maria LLC and in 2021 she created her first brand under the umbrella, “xoxo,Sara Maria.” 

xoxoSara Maria is a lifestyle brand dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to create a life they love and to let them know that ‘Better is Available’. 

This year, Sara Maria released her first program, ‘Business Babe Basics’. She created this because she wanted to help women with the foundations of building a business and give them access to her personal network of women that have helped her be successful. 

There are three  different levels for Business Babe Basics Starter kits, depending on the needs of the client :

Level 1: Business Babe

Level 2: Next Level Babe

Level 3: Head Babe In Charge

Each kit comes with ‘The Basics’:  Establishing their EIN and their LLC,  giving them a business plan and other ‘basic steps’.

The second and third level kits include all the basics, plus the Business Bestie Resource guide, which is full of women-owned businesses offering exclusive discounts just for the clients, a Business Credit call to help get funds for the new business, as well as other bonuses!

Sara Maria wanted all women to be able to set up for success, no matter what stage they were in their business! 

“A few years ago, I was in a room listening to Olenka Cullinan (my current business coach) speak about how she came to America and started building her empire from scratch. It was HER story that inspired me to start my businesses. Now I want MY story to help inspire women to start their business, and those women will inspire others and it will keep on going! It IS possible to change your story. All you have to do is say YES!”. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Nothing about the world of Entrepreneurship is smooth! But I have learned a lot! When I created my first business, I did it all out of order and without any real guidance. Luckily for me, things worked out but it was the knowledge that I lacked, that helped when creating Business Babe Basics. I wanted women to learn from my mistakes and to be set up for success. I always believe that everything we go through in life is not for ourselves, but instead for the people whose lives we are meant to touch. Pain is linked to Purpose, always. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Lifestyle Influencer, Author, and Speaker that has a heart for God and for Women. I have two companies: The Landlord Liaisons and I Am Sara Maria LLC. 

The Landlord Liaisons was created to give landlords the tools to be successful and enable them to make a difference in their communities. I specialized in working with Section 8 Landlords and Tenants but that came to hault with the Pandemic. 

I had to pivot my focus and so after renovating my first rental property, I am going to teach how to create generational wealth through real estate and relaunch The Landlord Liaisons in the first quarter of 2022. 

I Am Sara Maria LLC is the umbrella company for my Influencer Marketing & my lifestyle brand: xoxo,Sara Maria. 

I have been a brand ambassador and promotional model for over 15 years, working with big brands like Toyota and Nascar. I wanted to work with microbrands, primarily women-owned and minority-owned brands in order to give them more exposure. 

xoxoSaraMaria is my lifestyle brand and Business Babe Basics starter kits help women with the basics of starting their business and getting them connected to an amazing network of other women. 

I would say I am known for being an ‘Influencer’ (I was in the top 25 influencers of PHX 2021) but more importantly I am known for Women’s empowerment & business and for being an Influencer for the Kingdom. 

Every idea for my business and my products came from God so never will you hear me say I am ‘self-made’. 

I am God-made and with Him, ALL things are possible. 

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
The BEST advice and what I personally did was literally STALK women that I wanted to know and to be around, on social media. I went to their linked in, IG, and FB pages, and I got in the DMs and told them who I was and that I wanted to get to know them and I was interested in learning from them. 

Also, I would take advantage of all the networking events that happen each week in Phoenix! There are so many amazing people out there that want to help you succeed! 

Your success is 95% based on the people you surround yourself with on a daily basis.
