Life & Work with Rebecca and Amanda Ehredt

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca and Amanda Ehredt.

Hi Rebecca and Amanda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My sister and I started our business during the COVID-19 lockdown. We have always loved having a creative outlet and the fact that we were able to make a whole business out of it was exciting.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far it has been a smooth road since we started our business. We have had a wonderful group of family and friends who have fully supported our business. I think the hardest thing so far is that we have very busy schedules, so finding time to do markets and local events have been difficult. My sister is a lawyer and I am a special educator. We both work full-time.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My sister and I create a variety of different items for our small business. We make cards, signs, shadow boxes, magnets, ornaments, and stickers. Our stickers are our best-selling items. We love hand-making them and coming up with new designs! We specialize in creating signs and shadow boxes. We enjoy being able to make a variety of fun creations that a large audience of individuals can enjoy. We’re most proud that we decided to follow through on our dream of making an arts and crafts small business.

How do you define success?
We define success as being able to do what you love. My sister and I feel most successful when we see our customers laugh and enjoy the merchandise we make. Knowing that others find joy in what we love to do is amazing. We’re very fortunate to be in the position we’re in.
