Rachelle Mcgee

Hi Rachelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I entered this world into the loving arms of a single mother, whose strength and determination shaped the course of my life. Raised with the support of my grandparents, I cherished the moments of joy worry free with love and family surroundings blind to the challenges that lay ahead.

At the age of 12, the fabric of my life was torn into pieces when circumstances led to my removal from school and placement into a group home. The subsequent years unfolded, marked by a series of shifting foster homes and group homes. The harsh realities of these environments often drove me to flee, seeking solace in the unknown streets.

By the time I turned 16, I found myself navigating the harsh realities of homelessness- life on the streets. Salvation arrived in the form of my grandparents, who opened their doors to me when I turned 17, offering a hope, peace and safety.

The trajectory of my life shifted when my brother extended a helping hand, offering me my first job at Subway at the age of 15 and 9 months. Despite the trials I faced, a glimmer of hope emerged when I managed to secure a temporary random nights in a hotel room.

At 18, a new chapter began as my best friend and I shared independence, setting up an apartment of our own. The arrival of my first son added a new dimension to my life, infusing it with purpose and love.

However, the shadows of an abusive relationship with my son’s father loomed large, casting a pall over my aspirations. With his incarceration came a sense of liberation, prompting me to reclaim control over my life. Returning to my grandparents, I was on transformative path by enrolling in cosmetology school, nurturing my passion for beauty, art and self-expression.

Nearing graduation an old flame from high school reignited. Marriage and a decade of partnership. Yet, as life became complex, our union eventually led to a painful but necessary divorce.

Undeterred by adversity, I embraced a new chapter in my life real estate, symbolized by the purchase of a house that stood as a testament to my resilience and independence. My dreams served as guiding glimpse, which gave me insight that life was about to get good.

Through the trials and tribulations that punctuated my journey, I held belief that my best days were yet to come. Each hardship served as a crucible, refining my spirit and fortifying my resolve, this made me stronger, wiser, and more resilient than ever before. My life story stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and hope in the face of adversity.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Disrupted childhood, turbulent living situations, homelessness, abusive relationship, struggle for independence**:

These struggles underscore my resilience and courage, this gave me the depth to my character and my extreme hustle to be better everyday. Lastly determination that guided me through the darkest moments of my life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As a dedicated Realtor specializing in residential properties, relocations, and new builds, I cater to individuals, families, and veterans across the valley of Arizona. My passion for real estate drives me to provide exceptional service, guiding clients through seamless transactions and helping them find their dream homes. With plans to leverage my broker’s license for future endeavors, I aim to build a lasting empire in the industry. In addition to real estate, I own and operate a mobile tax and notary business. Outside of work, I indulge my creativity by offering hair and makeup services, baking cakes, and honing my culinary skills for the enjoyment of family and friends.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most people wouldn’t know and that I have a huge love for music, country and R&B. I’n my childhood years, my mother and I would drive an hour and a half to spend the weekends with my great parents. My weekends were spent riding in my great grandfathers old pickup truck listening to country music he ran errands. Country music found its place in my heart. Still now, music is my peace and escape from noise.
